Purchased because I loved it so much on big screen

I purchased the DVD because we laughed so hard at this movie when it was released on the big screen. It has some pretty campy humor, but those who love the old Man From Uncle series will love this movie as well. An updated and raunchier version of that type of film. Not recommended for kids, but definitely made me laugh out loud. It was actually my favorite movie with Melissa McCarthy.

This movie is great because it has so many over-the-top scenes, wild characters, tongue in cheek action sequences, visual jokes, and self-deprecating inside jokes that it avoids the problems of so many other spy movies that are pretentious and take themselves too seriously. Relax, enjoy the wild ride, and have loads of laughs with this very enjoyable spoof/satire of spy movies.

This is so frikin funny! Seriously this movie is soooo good. If you're into comedy. I regret watching it with my emo sister in law. She did not like it but she watches mostly movies like exorcist and insidious etc. so that's not saying much. However everyone in the room was laughing so much. We even backed up several scenes to rematch. McCarthy is like a all natural painkiller.

I don't see movies more than once in theatres....except on the rare occasion that something is so funny, it has to be seen with different groups of people. That was Spy. Melissa McCarthy is absolutely fantastic in this film. It's up there as one of her best roles. I highly recommend this.

Melissa McCarthy plays both of the roles she is known for, which is by no means a bad thing. The rest of the cast is the surprising entertainment. Rose Byrne as a terrorist is excellent. And Jason Statham has never been funnier. The amount of violence was surprising, so if you are not a fan of that, this may not be the movie for you. If you don't mind that, watch this movie!

This movie is one that you must watch! It is hilarious and has a good storyline. You'll be waiting to see what's next while laughing your a** off! This movie is not for children and it also has a lot of swear words. If that offends you, I'd pass on this movie. But you would be missing out! Highly recommend this movie!

This movie is fun and cleaver, but over the top with language and sexual senarios.

This movie spy was really funny and entertaining to watch. I liked how Jason Statham was just totally useless lol but he definitely brought a sense of humor to the film with his efforts. Also Melissa McCarthy probably doesn't get the center stage much in action so it was nice for her to get a front line roll. Overall very good for the price I paid for it.

I'm not one to buy DVDs or BluRays with having so much readily available on iTunes and Netflix, but purchased this DVD after seeing it in theaters. It's money will spent. The features and Behind The Scene clips are hilarious (including one with outtakes with 50 cent) and worth the price of the DVD itself. Don't overthink it, just buy it.

Wow, this movie is excellent! Melissa McCarthy can be hit or miss, depending on if her character is meant to be endearing or not. She knocks it out of the park in this one! In addition to being funny, this movie also has great action, gun play, and other spy-related activities. Also, who knew that Jason Statham could be so hilarious! :D

In my opinion this is one of Melissa McCarthy's funnier movies, but it definitely isn't family friendly. When she is no holds barred with her mouth, for some reason it is just funny as heck. I love the fact that she can poke fun of herself, but still rip others to shreds. Not a spy spoof, but a decent spy movie with a lot of comic relief.

I was expecting a goofy comedy and ended up with an incredibly funny action movie. Between this and kingsmen (also amazing) the satirical spy movie is now a perfected science. Funny movie, yes, of course. but also very very good. great story, looks amazing on bluray. worth having in your collection and rewatching over and over.

When I first watched this in theaters I was a little iffy in the beginning of the movie. It wasn't lol funny in the beginning, but once Melissa Mcarthy's character began her spy mission, I found myself laughing at a lot of the scenes. It was a slow start but I stuck with it and ended up enjoying it a lot more than I thought I would.

I enjoyed this movie more than I did "The Heat," starring Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy. And far more than some of Ms. McCarthy's more recent movies. She is allowed to be funny here; the slapstick and verbal humor almost always works, and she is surrounded by a good cast. This Blu-ray is definitely worth watching.

Melissa McCarthy's films post-Bridesmaids have been mostly miss, but Spy sees her back on top form as she reteams with that movie's director Paul Feig. (They also reunited for the new Ghostbusters film.) Espionage comedies are a sticky wicket, but Spy is so good it makes it look easy. It even has a secret weapon in Jason Statham.
