Loses charge very quickly

It loses charge fairly quickly, and is finicky with the chip cards. Possibly all chip card readers are this way but this was my only experience

Works but still not great

The upside is it worked faster and with less failure than the contactless chip reader when it was charged. Hopefully square will make improvements and the next reader will be worth purchasing. So far a lot of money to square for cheap plastic junk (I bought two contactless chip readers expecting them to be efficient) that isn't really great. Square please figure it out!

These readers often times don't work

Works Sporadically
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I replaced my old Square Card Reader with the new one to be able to accept cards with the new chip technology. Rarely, am I able to swipe a card successfully or use the chip reader. I usually have to enter the card number manually. The old reader worked very well and I do not remember entering numbers manually. It is disappointing that the new one does not work as well as the old reader.

Just cannot get it to work

Square wirh chip reader.

I have to b resort to my old square. I have a wireless one also and am not happy at all with it. It takes too long when it does work so resort back to the original one.
