It is very easy to set up and use-you just have to connect to the internet, log on to your Square account and you are good to go. The terminal accepts swiping, chip cards or tapping with your phone and will then will print a receipt if you set it up to do so in the Settings menu. No tablet or computer is required. Item was less expensive at Best Buy then purchasing through the Square website.

It is battery powered and works like a charm, provided that you have a wifi or hotspot. Beware of updates, they can take a long time and if youre setting up a booth, it would be best to turn this on and charge it up the night before.

The only complain would be it needs to always be connected or else the battery runs out but other then that it’s been a great investment.

A great payment device

I love that the tap to pay function is super fast and easy to figure out. I also like that it only lights up when its time to pay. I switched from the square stand (+ipad) to this due to a software change that no longer supported the ipad on my end. Both options are great and i still use the ipad to input the sale although once its time to pay it goes to the terminal.
