What's not to love about a story of four foul mouthed boys in search of a dead body? If you are used to watching this movie on TV, you might be surprised to find this movie is actually rated R. However, it's a great coming of age story and presented well on this blu-ray.

This is one of my all-time favorite movies. I saw it when I was 13, and I've returned to it time and time again. A great adventure filled with friendship, scary moments, and reality, all wrapped into a great movie! :D

One of the stronger Stephen King adaptations, this movie has a ton of excellent bonus features considering the very low price. In particular, the in-picture video commentary is excellent. Highly recommended.

This blu-ray release earns high marks, if given the choice make sure you get this blu-ray release to add to your collection. THE PQ and AQ are terrific.

this is everyones favorite movie growing up as a kid and know you get to own it on blu ray what could be better than that... just an amazing movie with an amazing cast!

This was just an amazing movie. Rob Reiner has a real eye for direction. The characters portrayed by the kids are well developed and overall superb. I loved Stephen King's book version a little better, but if you have read the book, I highly reccomend that you see this movie too.

Forgot just how good this movie was. Do yourself a favor and also read the short story by Stephen King that this movie is based on!

Story about friendship, life and death. The movie has great acting and memorable moments anyone could relate to.

Excellent to see in company of all the family, great history

I thought 'Stand By Me' was ok, it wasn't anything to write home about, but it had some touching scenes and decent material. Fans of the film, however, should be quite satisfied with this deluxe edition, with an anamorphic widescreen transfer and several bonus extras to sink into. For those who already own the previous special edition, it may not be worth it to purchase this version, unless your dying to get your hands on the music soundtrack of the film, which is included here.
