This was a nice start to the new reboot. I enjoyed the movie and it was neat to see life portrayed on planet Earth, something seldom seen in the original series. Very action packed, the interaction of the three main characters seemed strained to capture the original series.

I have not really seen a bad Star Trek movie, the very first Trek movie was a little stiff, but not completely horrible. I'm old, so didn't take to the "New Actors" taking the place of what or whom I grew up with, the original cast, but as all the Trek movies go, a good watch, .

I never thought rebooting an original popular franchise would be so much better second time around. Great story line that makes you think. Actors nailing the original characters from the original movie. Nice new interpretation of James T. Kirk.

I'm not a fan of star trek but this movie was excellent. Very balanced, it has the right amount of action, adventure, romanticism, and comedy. Better than the star wars movie if you ask me. Also the soundtrack is amazing, very captivating.

I bought this movie for watching on my XBOX One S and my Sony 4K HDR TV. It was awesome. I decided to buy Star Trek as my first HDR movies because I'm a big fan of the franchise. If you are to, I highly recommend.

Own this movie on Blu-ray and loved it so I double dipped and bought it on 4K . Glad I did, Great picture quality and an awesome movie. Recommended.

One of the best reboots of all time looks and sounds amazing in 4K. If you're on the fence about upgrading the blu-ray, don't hesitate any longer. Can't wait to add the sequels to my collection.

Changing actors through the years have been something to get use to but as always we enjoyed the movie. Bought this copy for our new 4K LG 75 inch TV. In 4K you feel like you are on the Star ship!

excellent adaptation of the original Star Trek TV series characters and story. Loved the way the writers and actors maintained the key personality traits of the characters while giving them a fresh, updated look and feel.

I purchased this movie based on recommendations that it was reference quality material. I loved the reboot on HD Blu-ray (have watched over 10 times!), and had great expectations that the 4K/HDR treatment would be a marvel in clarity, contrast and color intensity, but was sorely disappointed. It was hailed by an online 4K movie showcase list as a spectacle for the eyes, but compared to such exemplar 4K releases as "War for the Planet of the Apes", "Hacksaw Ridge" and "The Revenant" (which are mind-blowing extravaganzas in sight and sound), this Ultra HD entry was not on par. The scenes that popped were far and few between and not worth the investment from a video resolution perspective.

Long time Trek fan so I was waiting for this. I believe it is the best of the new movies. All of the new characters fit their roles... with some modern twists.

Got this steelbook version to replace my "regular old" blue plastic case version, and it is nicer. Would recommend getting steelbook if you haven't bought this move yet, and great price point right now! Only critique is that it was not done as a special edition, or as the 3-disc special edition version that has also been out.

This is one of my favorite Star Trek movies ever... I have watched it several times before in FullHD, but seeing it in 4K UHD is an amazing experience on the big 75" screen. Everything on screen look sharper.

I already had it in Blu-ray but I had to have it in 4K for the special effects and a home theater sound another classic Star Trek movie.

I was skeptical on this because I think that Hollywood is out if ideas, that's why we get nothing but reboots and remakes. This however is pretty good. Great casting and acting. Awesome in 4k with HDR

The Saga continues, and has been reestablished. Like the title reads, this film will easily be considered among the best in the series and will continue be an awesome ride on the star ship Enterprise.

Very well acted and action-packed movie that retains a lot of the nuances of the original Star Trek personalities. Highly recommended to any Star Trek fan.

Big fan of Star Trek and I'm so glad that I was able to get this on 4K. The visual is too are incredible and the definition is amazing
