I bought this movie as my first Blue Ray disc to view on my new (and first) Blue Ray player. I've always liked the movie and am very pleased with it being my first BR choice.

It looks good on my 4k TV. I use a playstation to play it and its fine.

Great movie. Great start to the new cast. If only they had kept getting better.

Great quality and sound. The movie is typical Star Trek format. Serious with some humor. Great visuals.

Don't waste your money buying the 4K version ... There is more grain in the picture for some reason and the sharpness is no better than the 1080p up converted. I have the Panasonic DMP-UB900 4K player and compared the 1080 vs the 4K and there's no perceptive difference in the picture other than the 4K version has, as I mentioned above, a little more 'noise'. If you already own the 1080 Blu Ray then save your money. If you've seen Dunkirk, The Martian, or Passengers in 4K you'll be disappointed in Star Trek on 4K because it's not even close. Don't get me wrong, it's not awful and if you don't own Star Trek already you'll get both versions here but I would just get the standard Blu Ray and save some money.

Great rehash of the old story with the events altering the old story so it can be opened up infinitely. Old Spock just didn't do it for me though- apologies die hard trekkies.

I liked the original movie. Seeing it in 4k, with a 4K DVD player, coupled to an OLED TV -- unbelievable colors, blacks, contrasts, and motion.

I love these movies. They definitely brought a refreshed cast into the new age. And in 4k and HDR, it looks and sounds amazing. Definitely worth the money.

Technicals keep getting better and better and it is of course Star Trek. We got the 3D version and that makes a huge difference. Go for it if you have 3D.

Great film, the visual quality in out door shots looks great, much film grain during indoor scenes but that's to be expected. Overall a great experience .

If you enjoy Star Trek movies this is worth the purchase! You will watch it often too.

Big fan of Star Trek . You just can't go wrong getting any of the Star Trek movies . It's like one big adventure with plenty of action and fight scenes

I really love the reboot of this movie. It's a fun evening in front of the fireplace with popcorn. I hung the case up in our home theater just for fun.

This is a perfect choice for a 4k purchase. Even though this film was released to 4k 4 years ago, it still pops on 4k. This is a fun popcorn movie with a modern take on the Star Trek saga.

This is such a great movie. It is extremely underrated. It looks great on Blu-ray. I would strongly recommend this to any science fiction fan out there.

There just hasn't been many movies to compare to some to the earlier 4k releases as far a 4k quality. This isn't one of them. It's just ok. The movie itself, is great. If your looking to showcase your 4k player - Stick with Revenant, Sicario, Deadpool. .
