Star Trek (2009) is a fun and great action film with characters we know from the classic television show but only in an alternate reality. We get to see some backstories of our heroes and great character development. If you're a fan of Star Trek or simply action/adventure movies Star Trek (2009) will not disappoint.

Can a reboot get any better? I don't think so. Stunning images sound and just all over great movie and that's just not my opinion either. Definitely a keeper. I enjoyed it so much I had no problem buying it in Blu-ray a couple years ago and now in 4K. Look for the R2-D2 , Yes R2-D2 in the movie. Do a Google search and find it.

I enjoy the rebooted Star Trek movies and this is still my favorite ot the current 3 movies. I already own this movie in blu-ray, but bought the 4K version after I recently upgraded my theater to a Dolby ATMOS setup. This version is the only way to experience the ATMOS soundtrack. Thoroughly enjoy the picture and soundtrack.

The movie looks great in 4K! I own it on DVD, but being able to see it in my 4K TV blew me away. I love the Star Trek franchise, and this movie is funny and exciting. I recommend it. Chris Pine did a fine job acting as James T. Kirk.

Great movie with spectacular video and sound. This movie is the best of the recent Star Trek series. I had previously owned this movie as a DVD and wanted to upgrade to 4K to make it even better

Love this movie. Both the 4k and Blu-Ray transfers are beautiful. Chris Pine makes this movie and I'm fine with the Kelvin timeline so I'm looking forward to more movies of this cast and crew.

Great new version that keeps you entertained even if you are new to watching Star Trek. This will start an new fan base. The story line follows the old series, answers questions to what would have happened if different choices in the past had been made or had a different outcome.

Awesome movie, love the picture quality and the quality of the sound. Love the story and characters. The actors were great. Great action and entertainment. Awesome storyline,it was very enjoyable. I would absolutely recommend to any science fiction buff. I would even buy this movie again if it was lost or destroyed.

I have both editions of this movie both original bluray release and now updated 4K. The new update is fantastic. The improvements both visually with the improved sound encoding, make it a pleasure to rewatch this movie. I noted new things in scenes even though I viewed this movie multiple times before.

I kind of lost interest in Star Trek after the original and Star Trek Next Generation, but this new cast and action packed scenes brought me all the way back and now even my wife is a fan with the new movies. Great job with Chris Pine as Kirk and Zackary Quinto as spock.. I already ordered the newest one coming out in Sept 2013 on blue ray in 3D

I love blue-ray movies, but finding action packed movies with a lot of adventure, like Star Trek, makes them all the better. The only thing I wasn't keen on was I wasn't able to use my "menu"/"top menu" buttons to get to the movie itself and skip the previews. Also, getting the blu-out was a little bit harder than it should have been.

As a fan of the original Star Trek series, as well as the subsequent movies containing original cast members, I absolutely love the treatment given the characters in these Star Trek reboots. 4k resolution with HDR and Dolby Atmos sound make for terrific home theater experience!

If you love the original Star Trek movies and the series you will love this next series of movies. I have all three of this new series of movies and they are great. I can't wait for the fourth installment, I know it will be just as great. So, if you love Star Trek get this first movie.

I have all of the Kelvin Timeline Star Trek movies on Blu-ray, with the exception of the first. I did not have a Blu Ray player when it came out. I have finally completed my collection. I ordered this thru the Best Buy app along with 2 other Blu Rays. They arrived 3 days early, which was awesome

I already loved this movie on blu-ray, and although the quality of the picture itself isn't mind-blowing, the addition of HDR and Dolby Atmos surround sound really takes this to another level. The lighting is just spot on and the sound is very immersive. Great movie worth the price.

Such a great retelling of the Star Trek universe. Visually stunning, and the cast performances are very entertaining. If you can look past the hyper futuristic appearance of this classic series, you're in for a fun ride!

Watching Star Trek on a DVD player is an okay experience. Adequate colors and sound. Watching Star Trek blu-ray is another thing altogether. The colors pop out at you and the sound is excellent. Special effects are indeed special. I would definitely recommend this product. The packaging is great, I love the metal case.

This new Trek is a little scatterbrained. How does Kirk get from Cadet to Captain so quickly? Why does Spock hold him in such contempt when he's not supposed to feel anything at all? What the heck is red matter? Why are there so many lens flares? No matter. The gang's all here, and there's plenty of excitement, action, and special effects. For most people, including non-Trekkies, that's enough. I feel like it doesn't do enough to keep long-time fans of Star Trek on board, but it's still better than no Trek at all.

This is an outstanding transfer of this film. Cast and crew are amazing. The real surprise of this 4K disc is that it includes a Dolby Atmos audio track. The previous Blu-ray did not include this sound format. For a full video experience, this 4K disc of Star Trek is not to be missed.

This is what 4K was meant for. I have seen this movie countless times on standard bluray and my mind and eyes were blown away watching this in 4K. Small details that I missed like the words on starships were clear as day. I am not regretting triple dipping on this title at all.
