Personally...I only recently became a fan of Star Trek about 7 years ago.. And although it took me a little time...I believe that the actors replacing the original crew were good choices. So far, I own all 3.. and I am hooked

The story picks up a few months after the last movie. Everyone is more settled in their respective positions. We get new characters and lots of action. If you’re a fan of the new Star Trek movies you’ll love this one.

Saw the movie in theaters over the summer and was blown away. Never liked the Fast and Furious movies -- a bit too 'bone-headed' for me -- but despite this, Justin Lin, perfectly balances the 'headiness' of Trek, with the dazzling set-pieces of modern blockbusters. Simply entertaining on every level.

I am a huge Star Trek fan,and to be honest,I was a little skeptical when the first trailer came out, but the movie delivers, it's funny, it has great special effects and the chemistry between the three main actors is awesome.

Not the best Star Trek movie,but far from being the worst. The special effects at times outweigh the story,but on the plus side the actors have settled into their characters nicely. The additional features are nice,some of the deleted scenes would have made the movie a bit better,had they been used.

I've been a Trekkie all my life and I've got say that this is the best movie for this generation of new fans. And if keeps making money, they will keep making more! But seriously it was really great, and to see it now in 3D!

Was concerned when I found out that JJ Abrams was not directing this but after seeing it, no more concerns. What a great movie and I love how they just continue to tie this in with the old. Another fine job on the ST series.

This installment of the Star Trek franchise was not as Action packed as the previous 2 movies but it did focus on the Story-Line. The first 2 movies were about developing a new audience and bringing new and better FX to the screen, whereas this film is about character development and story-line....

Bought this movie after not having time to go see it in theaters. I have purchased the other Star Trek films in this past and I am glad I purchased this one as well. Definitely entertaining and sound/video quality are great.

This cast, writing, directing and CG magic are just about perfect. The best part of this film is its huge and ever beating heart, resonant with the love, suffering, humor and risk-taking common to all progressive life forms.

Was intrigued by the previous movies that I had seen from JJ Abrams. I was not let down at all. Super action and right amount of wit within. Loved how they dedicated this movie to the latest two fallen actors of the series..

While I'm a big Star Trek fan, I'm not a total Trekkie like my husband. I enjoyed this movie because of the story-line, the new characters, and the innovative new world. Another great movie to add to my collection.

A long time (closet) Trekkie, back to the days of Shatner and the cheesy sets and dialogue, this latest film in the latest franchise is a worthy addition to the collection. If for no other reason, it's worth a second viewing just to pick up on all of the nuances you may have missed in the theater.

The second of this series was just okay. But this movie was awesome. It captured the original feel of Star Trek, but it definitely put a "today" spin on it. The commentary and extras are a must watch.

This was a really cool movie. I thought they did a great job featuring the characters in different groupings that was nice to see. Everyone got some screen time. As far as the blu-ray - great picture and sound. Some good extras though I would have liked some more extensive behind the scenes stuff.

The new Star Trek movies with Chris Pine are excellent; a lot of action and visual effects. "Star Trek Beyond" is no different; fun for everyone. I'm now waiting for number 4, who they say are bringing Chris Hemsworth back.

I bought the disc because I liked the movie when I saw it in the theater. I bought the Blu-Ray package because I have a Blu-Ray player. If you like the "latest generation" of Star Trek movies, you'll want this disc package.

This film was great from beginning to end...I loved how it paid tribute to the original series which inspired it...all three films in the rebooted series have been awesome and highly entertaining this one is no exception...

After the first two new movies spending far too much in and around Earth, it was nice to see the story expand to uncharted territory. While it may not reach the heights of some of its predecessors, it is obvious the actors had a lot of fun making this movie and makes for an entertaining adventure.

The picture and sound quality is absolutely breathtaking! Bluray is pretty sweet, but switching input sources for a side by side comparison on my tv, it's night and day! 4K is mind blowing! Well worth the extra few bucks!
