I love how they continue on with the alternate branch reality created in the first of the new movies and stayed true to it.

I didn't get to see it at the theater, but I bought it because the last two were really good. I didn't think this one was as strong as the other two, but still a good movie.

This is the first truly original story with this cast and its a bit of a disappointment. There was much about the story that didn't make much sense, especially the motivations of the villain. The cast was fine and the new white faced female character, who seems to be destined to return (if there is another Star Trek movie), did a good job. But left me cold in the end,. There's plenty of action, thanks to the fast and furious director and the special effects are good as always. But just did not care for the story.

As the other two movies great visual effects. Story was done very well. It takes place within there five year mission.

Had a lot of fun with this movie! Great adventure and original not really relying on adapting something from before.

After a setback with the last Star Trek film this one really returned it back to where it should be. There are a couple of holes but not so big you can't enjoy it.

Another exiting chapter in the STAR TREK Franchise with great special effects that look even better in 3D.

There were some cheesy parts but I love Star Trek and I love the characters they picked for this. Even with Cheesy parts, the movie is still good and fun to watch

I thought this movie was going to be a train wreck judging by the trailers, but it was great. I thought it was better than Into Darkness in my opinion.

The steelbook itself is good quality. Not a lot special in it versus other steelbooks I've seen; however, for the price it is a nice collector's item.

Visually appealing. Enjoy watching the action and fun comedy come from beloved Trek characters.

I wanted to complete my Star Trek fan's trilogy set for Christmas. This blu-ray did the job.

My review is on the steelbook product itself and not the film! The movie was pretty good and if I was rating the movie alone I would give it 3.5 stars. The steelbook on the other hand has all kinds of problems. As a steelbook collector, I was expecting something much better for a Star Trek movie. The artwork on the covers is great and it looked really promising when I preordered. The inside is a plain star field...kind of lazy in my opinion, but not a deal breaker. The minute I unsealed it I knew there were problems. The first thing I noticed were the fingerprints, all over the front. The cover is a gloss finish so fingerprints, scratches, and dents are very noticeable. They couldn't be bother to wear gloves? I also noticed fingerprints on the inside of the case. Again, fingerprints aren't a big deal, but the whole thing reeked of laziness! My real complaint about this steelbook is the condition these steels were in. Now I understand that I'm more picky than the average buyer, as I'm a maticulous collector. However, even after letting the factory defects and quality slide, the damage through poor handling (from the shop to the stores) was appalling. In the end, I ended up exchanging it 5 TIMES to find a copy that was acceptable (remember this is forgiving factory defects). Every copy I came across had dings, scuffs, paint damage, and spine slashes. I think much of the damage was caused by the poor shipping, so hopefully the quality is better in other areas. The people responsible for handling this product from the shop to the shelf did not know what they were doing and need to respect the fact that many people don't buy these steelbooks just for the media. It's collectable packaging...Why would anyone spend extra money for damaged packaging? I've purchased many steelbooks from Best Buy, some lines better than others, but this line is really bad! If steelbook damage bothers you at all, be very careful when buying this and do yourself a favor and don't wait to get home before you open it! What were they thinking!?!

I would recommend to my "Trekkies" get this latest sequel, worth adding to your collection.

Where do I begin? So so cool photography made me want to be there fighting along Kirk !!!!!

Another entertaining entry in the latest incarnation of Star Trek. Plenty of action and humor, and it paid tribute to what came before it.
