Where "Good basic Star Trek story" means the story follows the classic Star Trek story format: fighting bad aliens, first contact, other things. I liked it but not as much as the second reboot movie.

This is yet another of the new, J.J. Abrams, Star Trek franchise. It has all the action the other two have had. The story is good. For those that enjoy the escape that is Star Trek it is a must have.

Love Star Trek. The story in this one was just OK but the 4K HDR in this movie is astonishing. Get this just for the Picture Quality.

Although there were some parts that seemed to not fit, this was another hit in the Star Trek movie line. This cast, once again, nailed it!!

This movie brings a welcome tribute to the original cast and crew. For the first time in the series it was not about Chris Pine screen time.

The only issue that was involved a little more money for that than that I could be wrong with the money that you would be in a car.

This is not only a great Star Trek movie, it's a great movie. One of the few movies that surpass the original, yet honors the original.

This episode in the new series has a great meshing of drama, action and humor. If you liked the first 2, you will enjoy this original story.

Much better than Ibto Darkness. The characters are front and center with great performances and some fantastic action and special effects!!

For the third reboot of the Star Trek films, we see the director of Fast and Furious take the reins and although it doesn't pause much for the sentimental, still a rollicking good ride! Lots of fun!

i bought the 3D blu ray and was a little disappointed with special effects. Still well worth the investment to add to your home library as you get 3D blu ray,dvd, and digital copy all for one price.

Star Trek Beyond was another great chapter in the series. I enjoyed the plot and thought it was as fun to watch as the previous two movies.

Star Trek Beyond is very entertaining. The action is good and the special effects are good. A good continuation of the two previous movies.

My wife talked me into buying the movie. Never a big Star Trek fan but this was an adventure to watch. Outstanding cast and special effects.

Great movie not as good as the first two but still a must have. Only odd thing was all the copies in the store were missing the cover art which it the box like cover that goes over the movie itself.

Couldn't wait for this movie to come out on DVD and then to find that Best Buy offered it as Bluray, DVD and digital with a cool steel case.

The film is beautifully shot. The scenes are gorgeous. It has a lot of action. I could have done without so many action scenes. The story line is interesting. Overall a good picture, worth watching.
