This movie has some great moments, the cast is once again superb, and the visuals are stunning! But somehow this feels less cohesive than the first two movies. Many rag on Into Darkness, but I really liked that movie. This could have been great with just a few minor tweaks IMO. It's still good though, and worth the purchase.

Loved it! Star Trek Beyond is a great addition to the new Star Trek series. It's upbeat, and funny at times. I really enjoyed watching each character come into his own and see the crew really jell. It was the making of a family. Nicely done. Enjoy the ride.

This is the third installment in this franchise and I liked the first two movies so much that I bought this sight unseen. I just knew it would be good because the first two are awesome and this one did not disappoint. Great movie to add to your collection.

The latest entry into a well done reboot is what we have come to expect from the newest iteration of Star Trek. A fun ride from begin to end with excellent performances from this great cast. Special effects are really well done and it looks amazing in 4k!

What a great addition to my collection. Until they make another movie it completed my collection of Star trek movies. Great cast awesome action and effects. If you're a star trek fan you're gonna love it.

Another great movie in the Star Trek series. This is a great update to the classic Star Trek franchise. Great character development, true to the characters we've known all these years yet uniquely developed personalities. Overall a very enjoyable film.

Fairly derivative plot: whoever heard of a fake mayday to lure the hero into a trap? The swarming enemy ships were often a blur -- it just seemed like too, too much. I expect they introduced the new character to replace Chekov. So, why did I give it four stars - even a bad Star Trek is better than no Star Trek,

This is no longer the Star Trek rebirth origins story but instead the transition to "the voyages of the Starship Enterprise". This begins the EPISODES and of the interaction of the crew members. Well done!! Also a great tribute to AMBASSADOR Spock.

This entry in the Star Trek series is outstanding. The action is fun but it never overwhelms the story. The crew is in top form and everyone has a chance to shine. The new characters are well developed. I recommend this movie to any fan of the series.

Spoiler! Spock Dies and Still Lives in the Kelvin Timeline. But this is not the first time Spock dies and lives..(the Search for Spock). RIP Leonard Nimoy..Live Long and Prosper Zach Quinto..A must see and have for all Trekkies..

Saw this one in the movies that enjoyed it but did not love it. However, upon subsequent viewings on DVD I've liked it more and more every time I watched it. I believe the initial viewing might be a little overwhelming to take things in because the scope of it is so massive. Really good enjoyable movie

I bought the Star Trek Beyond DVD with three versions, Blu-Ray, DVD and Digital giving me the ability to watch it on different devices. The price was great and we've watched it many times. The more you watch it, the more you get out of the storyline.

This was a good premise and very well done. The special effects were as awesome as usual, but it was a true dude flick since it was all action. The only allusion to romance was a bit of foreshadowing for the story line. Looked great on my new TV!

This is the first truly original story with this new timeline crew so I was looking forward to it. Sadly, the story is a complete mess. It just doesn't make a whole lot of sense. The villain's motivations seem completely out whack with what is happening. The new white-faced alien is the lone bright spot. She is pretty interesting and is destined to return if there are any more movies with this cast (this movie bombed so that's a bit of question mark). The special effects are good and each member of the new crew is comfortable with their roles so they all do just fine. The story is the problem. Very confusing pretty much from the beginning and even more so at the end. And lots of things that happen in between often defy logic. Star Trek fans might like it. Everyone else, probably not so much. Simon Pegg, who wrote the screenplay, should stick to acting. (He's Scotty)

I was really skeptical about watching, and purchasing this movie, because the first two of the remakes were great but I did not believe they would have continued to make another great sequel when many movies have done terrible sequels. Well worth it.

It's more Star Trek, so you either love it or hate it. I happen to enjoy the interaction between characters played by Chris Pine, Karl Urban, and Zachary Quinto.

There are some instances where brand new discs have horrible smudges on them, which makes the playback skippy and hard to watch. Like the factory worker handling them had a greasy grilled cheese and just didn't care. Luckily this was not the case.

Star Trek is by far one of the best and my favorite space movies. I loved the original version, but the new one with Chris Pines is so well done. There is action packed throughout the entire movie, and comical scenes as well between the actors.

People complained that the cast looked tired and like they didn't want to be there. However, if you WATCH the movie and know the series you'll understand why. For a casual viewer I can understand the confusion, but for a fan I found it well done.

Star Trek:Beyond is a great movie. It's also shorter in length than the previous movie, Into Darkness. Action packed, poignant, and humorous all at the same time! It was riveting until the end. I recommend this one to all Trekkers!
