Not as detailed regarding relationships, but still great characters and acting. Excitement loved that they added the first movies music theme in. Everything needs relationship and connection to be cohesive. Look to the old stories, that is why #1 Star Trek did so well! Took story lines and twisted the original.

Classic Star Trek with a twist courtesy of director Justin Lin brings a little four on the floor action from Fast and Furious, the twist is Jaylah the rebel alien warrior who changes up the mix along with the Trek vibe that brings it all together.

If you liked it in the theater you'll like it at home... Hopefully there's no crying children and week old popcorn. Bonus is that you can watch the movie in your jammies. Do that in the theater and they kick you out. Don't ask me how I know this.

I have been following the Star Trek movies and this one blew my socks off. I really do like how this way the best way to show how far the Trek movies have come. It definitely kept me on the edge of my seat and the visual effects were really good.

It's hard to imagine Star Trek without Nemoy but this was a fine send off. The movie itself was great; a must have for any fan of the franchise. It's going to be interesting to see what becomes of Chekov after the untimely passing of Yelchin. :-(

This Star Trek franchise has hit yet another one out of the park! Great film, and what a great deal, getting this on Black Friday at our Best Buy store. Great experience in-store...very well organized for such a busy chaotic night (Thanksgiving).

Bought this for my husband for Christmas and gave it to him early. He loves all the Star Trek movies. I am not a fan. But we watched it together and I thought there was a pretty good storyline, acting and overall good movie. It kept my interest.

Each movies in this series seems to be even better than the one before it. This movie kept me on the edge of my seat from beginning to end. The special effects were more spectacular than ever. The story was solid. I absolutely loved this movie.

Unlike the first 2 movies of this reboot of the Star Trek series, "Beyond" reminds me strongly of the original TV series from the 1960's. While the first 2 recent Star Treks were groundbreaking and extremely entertaining, this one is a typical episode from the crew's "5-year mission to explore new planets."

This movie is pretty cool. It has spaceships, aliens, laser guns, strange planets, and futuristic stuff in it. Captain Kirk even does an impression of Evel Knievel jumping buses at Caeser's Palace. William Shatner never did anything like this!

In my opinion The wrath of Khan was the best star trek movie, with limited technologies of the 80s it was well written, casting, and directed. The new movies come close but non like this one I could not stop watching it time and time again.

We have really enjoyed these new Star Trek movies starring Chris Pine. We are Star Trek fans from the original series (shout out to William Shatner, you will always be our favorite) but they have done a nice job with this new incarnation.

I liked the first new movie in this series the best, but found this one to be a good third movie with these new actors. As I have been watching Star Trek since the 60's I have enjoyed all the movies, we'll except the first movie after the original series. I would like to see them do one new movie a year.

The Movie was fast paced, and the story line was in line with the last movie. Color and sound was excellent. Sound was fully immersed, with great spatula ton. Voices was easy to understand. Five stars. Will not dispoint. Highly recommended.

I saw this one in the theater and now at home and love it more at home because of all the behind the scenes things. Of the three of this set of actors this is the best one so far and looks great on Blue Ray. I am very pleased with this one

I enjoyed this movie but didn't like it as much as the others. I thought this one was too dark (as in lighting). It seemed to be that they were always either in a cave, building, or recked ship where it was dark or very low lighting. The story and acting were good. I would still recommend seeing it.....

I have been a Star Trek series fan my whole life. The last two movies in the series have been great. This movie is no exception! The storyline, special effects, action sequences, and subplots are all at a high level. I recommend it highly!

Saw this movie in the movie house, now I'm happy to own it as the Star Trek franchise is always a fun watch. The bluray xfer looks great in hi-def, you won't be disappointed. Might want to get the 3D version as well for completeness sake.

I have two different disc players in the house - a regular DVD and a Blue Ray. These combo packs are great because they contain both formats. Next year I'll be getting a laptop and I can start using the digital as well. Movie is also excellent - I'm a Trekkie from the time of TOS through to present.

Saw it in the theatres and wanted it as soon as it came out. Hearing Justin Lin the director of Fast and the Furious was director I knew it would have lots of action. Very good movie with very good action scenes. Definitely recommend it.
