High quality disc which played the first time and every time we have wanted to use it. Comes in standard blue, plastic case... (Is this the review you we looking for?) Overall, 4 stars for the movie. Great characters, but plot was more shallow than the first two reboot Star Trek movies...

Excellent new installment to the new Star Trek! Been a (almost) lifelong fan for 35 years- and this one continues the rebooted saga with a great story that is reminiscent of an episode of the great original 5 year mission.

Certainly not as good as the second movie. There is some amusing dialogue (believe Simon Pegg was responsible for some of that) but the "bad guys" numbers and capabilities just don't come across successfully. They allow for some great special effects, but not for the greatest of stories

This is a very good action film. I recently purchased a new set of speakers for my home theater and this movie shows them of. Typical star trek film If you like the star trek movies you will like this one. Some great caracters

The 3rd installment of the 'new' Star Trek films is entertaining as a standalone movie, but is my least favorite of the 3 'new' Star Trek films. The plot is not as interesting as the first 2 movies and the special effects, while beautiful, were a bit overdone and even confusing at times.

Star Trek Beyond has a lot to offer the Star Trek fan: a new and unique plot, interesting one on one character interactions, and a nod to the old while advancing the new versions of the characters along the rebooted time line.

The story picks up a few months after the last movie. Everyone is more settled in their respective positions. We get new characters and lots of action. If you’re a fan of the new Star Trek movies you’ll love this one.

In my opinion this is the best Star Trek movie. The actors did a good job in representing their characters when they were younger. And they all related to each other very well. The movie contained action, suspense and comedy.

While I'm a big Star Trek fan, I'm not a total Trekkie like my husband. I enjoyed this movie because of the story-line, the new characters, and the innovative new world. Another great movie to add to my collection.

Was concerned when I found out that JJ Abrams was not directing this but after seeing it, no more concerns. What a great movie and I love how they just continue to tie this in with the old. Another fine job on the ST series.

I like the new star trek movies; never was a fan of the william shatner-starring ones, but loved the JJ Abrams rebooted-ones. Alas, this one felt phoned in; the previous 2 kept raising the bar on stakes, story line, humor, special effects, etc. But this one just seemed like more of the same, like another episode in the tv series, which it could have been. There's nothing special about this one; no new character developments, no new reveals regarding Starfleet, yes, there are new species, but they are more just there to be new/different rather than us getting any background on them enough to care about them. Just OK; they need to find the passion again for this franchise as this movies comes across as a contractual obligation by the actors/production company than a passion project.

Great summer movie! Full of action and cool visuals. The movie has an amazing score. The plot is very transparent (most will figure it out within the first thirty to forty minutes) and not difficult to follow. Definitely a movie you'd want to purchase if you have a home theater system.

I bought the disc because I liked the movie when I saw it in the theater. I bought the Blu-Ray package because I have a Blu-Ray player. If you like the "latest generation" of Star Trek movies, you'll want this disc package.

This is the third movie in the reboot of the Star Trek movies. This one delivers action, humor and everything that makes Star Trek great. This is a great way to celebrate Star Trek's 50th year! Highly recommend this movie!

This movie got a lot of criticism from before it was even released. After watching it though, I honestly enjoyed it. The bonus content was also great to watch, especially the gag reels and tributes to Leonard Nimoy and Anton Yelchin. Give it a chance if you haven't seen it already.

I grew up watching Star Trek with my grandparents and was kind of skeptical when I bought this but I ended up REALLY liking it, I don't love it, but give it another ten years and maybe the same nostalgia that gives Captian Picard a 5/5 will give this 21st century prequel 5/5 as well.

Great entertaining movie in the Star Trek catalog. I never try to dissect these types of movie. They are what they are and as shown in many documentaries the series has put many people on a path in the aerospace industry.

This movie is very well made with excellent sound quality and pictures. The story is very exciting and the characters are very well portrayed. I will be watching this movie many times and enjoying it's great sound quality

Again another good movie to add to the star trek adventure. The main crew are on the long maiden voyage, and they have to discover themselves. The action is great, the quick quip comments are funny. Overall a great movie.

I wasn't sure that this sequel would be that good with Justin Lin at the helm and not JJ. But I was surprised and really enjoyed it at the theater. Picked up the Bluray during Black Friday when it was on sale for few $$.
