The story is a little dumb but f/x save the movie from being complete garbage.

For me could use a tad more space ship battles, but it was still pretty good.

Ranks right along Star Trek V (The Final Frontier), for some of the same reasons. Am really weary of 'Lets destroy the Enterprise and...) Movie is outright frantic at times. Lacks the heart and charm of the previous two. Quality of the actual Blu-Ray is very good. Behind the scenes stuff was quite interesting.

This movie was at best. Being a star trek since I was a kid, I had to see it.

Movie was alright! I had a higher expectation after watching the first one.

In many ways, it feels like the producers had access to a rock quarry over a weekend and decided to just shoot a movie there. I wasn't invested in the new characters and never felt at any time that there was anything of real excitement going on. The weakest of all the new releases.
