I was bored during this movie. It was OK, but not a fun movie to watch. The only reason I got it was for a Christmas present and it was cheap on black friday. I would recommend just renting it. It's not one you will want to watch over and over.

The story line was OK, but I would rather see a story that ties back to the first JJAbrams movie. Maybe they could find a way to save Vulcan. A story line that is more intense would be appreciated here.

I rarely purchase movies before seeing them in the theatre. I regret not previewing this movie prior to purchasing it. I felt the director added more to the film than was necessary.

This movie made me feel as if they were holding something back, it was as if they would take you to the very moment of action and then pull back. This move lack StarTrek history. . .

This isn't one of the better films in my opinion. There were some good moments but I found it a little dull throughout with only some sparse exciting moments.

Was expecting much more- felt like a prolonged episode of a star trek and not like a big budget film. Not bad, just not all that much to it

If this wouldn't have been on sale for Black Friday, I wouldn't have bothered purchasing. A huge disappointment and a terrible plot.

I have loved Star Trek since The Next Generation but fail to like ANY of these new movies. This one had potential but again garbage!

This 3rd installment was ok. It dealt with more personal issues with Kirk and Spock. I still enjoyed it as a fan.

Not my Type of Movie and purchase because was so low on Black Friday. at least they got a sale out of us I guess

Its hard to beat the original, and these are starting to get tiresome, hopefully this was the last one.

I had really high hopes for Star Trek Beyond but I failed miserably. Director Justin Lin really dropped the ball on mostly disconnected scenes, bad dialogs and bad acting overall, turning this action movie into a boring 2 hour CGI fest. Sad!

The story stinks. It's just another Hollywood ride movie. The ship is literally torn to shreds by an undefeatable mystery enemy after just 30 minutes of screen time. This is literally the plot of all three films.

I think this is the worst star trek movie made so far. They added new characters, they never explain how the villian transformed from human to a monster and the story was flat. Very disappointed.

I don't know where all these glowing reviews come from. Did these people see the same movie that I did?
