Star Trek Beyond in 3D is an excellent sci-fi movie on its own, but even more so as part of the reinvigoration of the Star Trek franchise. It is sad that Anton Yeltson will not be around to continue the Chekov role, but the new character introduced in this movie could easily fill the void. It is worth adding to any sci-fi collection and especially any Trek collection.

First of all, Christopher Pine, just look at that face and those eyes. Secondly, this reboot of the Star Trek series is the best. These three movies with Christopher Pine as Captain Kirk, and all the other great actors in the main roles proves that no else can ever be in these movies. The third installment was very entertaining. Special effects are amazing. A must-see

This newest entry into the Star trek franchise was released to coincide with the 50th anniversary of Star Trek. I wish they had spent more time developing a better story. The effects were great, but overall not the best film of this trilogy. It is definitely worth seeing if you are a fan of the genre or the franchise.

Bought this mostly to check out the Ultra Blu-Ray in the XBox 1s. Coupled with a 4k television the quality was excellent, though I'm not sure I'm discerning enough to really notice the difference between Blu-Ray and Ultra Blu-Ray. The movie itself was well done. Heavier on action than some of the early Star Trek movies, but the acting and casting were excellent.

I saw in IMAX 3D and decided to purchased the 3D version. I own the Star Trek trilogy now and i have to say i really enjoyed these movies. I own part 1 in 4k and part two and 3 in 3D. I gotta say part two and three are at par as far as 3D goes. I personally enjoyed part 2 better but if you enjoyed part 2 then youll enjoy this one. 8.5/10 for 3D and 8.0 for movie.

This was the lesser of the first three Star Trek reboots, but that doesn't not make it a good film, as ALL the reboots have been fantastic. This movie reminded me more of an original Star Trek movie. It is simpler in story and it introduces a lot of fun into the movie, which you'll notice immediately when the movie starts. Anyway, good stuff, and it looks great in 4K and has wonderful sound with the Dolby Atmos. Very happy I bought this!

Probably the best Star Trek film of the three done with the new film cast. I was not pleased with the change of character for Sulu's role because it does not honor the character that Gene Roddenberry developed for the cast in any form or timeline. I felt it was gratuitous and pandering. Otherwise it was a great movie for action, story, and interaction of the cast.

This third movie in the Star Trek reboot series is true to the great Star Trek franchise with its swashbuckling fun, well developed famliar characters, and sci-fi "out there" experience. The cinematography makes it well worth while to purchase the Blu-ray version of this film as it adds to the home theater feeling of bravely going where no one has gone before.

After two re-boot movies, the third installment of the new Star Trek series brought back the character dialogue interplay the original series showed as it matured. Fast-paced and highly enjoyable, as with all movies these days with enhanced special effects which, in this case, don't detract from the story, this is full fledged Star Trek as it was meant to be.

I thoroughly enjoyed this new installment to the Star Trek series. I feel that they did a very good job with the story line, giving way to maybe adding additional characters in the future. It was sad to think that Anton Yeltsin would not be around to reprise the role of Chekov in future installments. Overall It was very entertaining and a recommended watch.

I know Best Buy asks for product reviews but how do you review a Blu-Ray disc without sounding like a movie critic? If you enjoy Star Trek and want to add to your collection, you should consider this. Enough said on that. Regarding the product itself, it was packaged securely and in excellent condition. Upon viewing it, I found the disc to be in top condition and playback was typical of the high quality viewing you'd expect of a Blu-Ray disc.

If you are a Trekkie or even if you aren't, you will love all the new Star Trek movies, with action throughout. The main characters in the films are such a tribute to the originals actors, their mannerisms are so much like the originals Kirk, Spock, McCoy, Sulu, Scotty, Chekov, and Uhura. And don't forget about the special effects this is a must see movie.

After the torturous Into Darkness (if Khan's name wouldn't have been shamed-would have enjoyed it more) a Star Trek adventure that is part Sci-Fy, part action. This i loved. I must have watched it twice and let it play in the background three more times. It was clear that Justin Lin of the Fast and Furious movies directed this. I am happy i bought it.

Pre order of the latest Star Trek in 4k Blu ray, and digital copy at a very good price. Thanks to a BB gift certificate the movie only cost me $2 and on top of that $5 bonus gift cert was awarded to me so I purchased a $5 movie 'the Army of Darkness! Great experience, easy pickup on preorder and free merchandise! Got to love Best Buy membership program.

So people are arguing the merits of each new star trek movie the director, how it plays into the star trek universe and a million other points.... My criteria, did I enjoy THIS movie, I have to say I did very much (bought it in 3D,which I love)... There is lots of action, great 3d effects, some scenes that are just fun or human all in all, very watchable

The first movie of the reboot series was good but had some plot issues, specifically with "Destiny" being a big part of it. That's some Star Wars stuff there...Star Trek is supposed to be science fiction, not a predestined hero's journey. This movie is terrific and gets the characters down much better than the previous two. Lots of fun and a good plot.

I have been a fan for more years than I care to disclose as this was the highlight of every Saturday night growing up with the original cast. Lenard Nemoy will always be missed as the original Spock however the up and coming young replacements do an admiral job of portraying their character. I enjoyed this latest installment in the Star Trek franchise.

For all Star Trek followers, here is another goodie. Not caring what the "critics" say, I loved this movie. (I really don't know what the critics said about this film, but if you need a critic to tell you if a film is good or bad, then you're missing out) ! As the saying goes: "Beam me up Scotty. There's no sentient life on this planet".

The movie was great. However, movie reviews can be seen on other sites. What matters here is the 4k quality. I would give it a 4 out of 5 for picture quality. That's pretty decent when I can only think of 2 other movies in the 5 star image quality range. (Sicario and Revenant) - I won't get into techical stuff because it's going to depend on your TV.

This third installment of the reboot series may have not killed it at the box office, but I felt is was the best one so far because the plot was more like the original Star Trek in the story telling and the actors clearly were more comfortable playing their characters. Plenty of action to go around, so If you like Star Trek, you will like this movie.
