This was an exciting and well written story. It kept me on the edge of my seat and had references to the original series and filled in holes in some of the characters development. A great addition to Star Trek fans. This and the other two Star Trek movies have given the series new life. A great addition to any Star Trek collection.

Of course I'm a Star Trek Fan, but the new Star Treks' include greatly improved visual effects with the quirky humor of the original series. Have done a great job with the replacements of the original crew of the Starship Enterprise. This one really surprises with the crew not getting out of a bad fix without a scratch for once!

So I really wasn't expecting too much from this movie since it was the 3rd movie so far from Abrams and since he's probably occupied elsewhere (Star Wars)...but...I was surprising pleased. This movie had action, intrigue, great dialog. Everything I wanted from a Star Trek movie! (I'm a big Trekker). Keep up the good work, J.J.!!!

This has been a great reboot for the original series with Kirk, Bones, Spock and the rest all back and all cast well. I particularly like Bones as he really pays homage to the late great Deforest Kelly. This one has action and excitement and quite of bit of on planet activities (more fun than just space battles) - Check it out!

I really LOVED the style of the first two movies of the reboot, so I couldn't wait to see this one. You could tell this one was done by a different director, but that didn't make it a bad movie, just different. This one was done more in the style of the series, but the action and humor was still there - so I was a happy camper.

After a lackluster sequel the third entry in the rebooted Star Trek series finally nails the tone of the classic series. Written by Simon Pegg, who also features as Scottie, it seems all the issues that fans had with the previous two films were heard and they attempted to put out a film for fans which honored the source. With the exception of one character backstory that was needlessly added the rest of the film was great.

After the disappointment of the second movie from the new timeline, this one is a huge kick-back to the way trek was before the reboots. It has exploration, new villains and an interesting story line. It also doesn't hurt that the Blu-Ray comes with the Dolby Atmos soundtrack. If you have an Atmos setup, it'll blow you away.

I grew up on Star Trek and it's a pleasure to watch the shows. Remember Leonard Nimoy and William Shatner? Well, the actors they chosen to replace them are stellar! The cast is well chosen the acting is great and the plot and storyline are feasible. You will get sucked into the plot and not want to stop the movie for anything

This was my second 4k movie viewing and it didn't disappoint. Picture is sharp and crisp, the audio is powerful (TV speakers only). The only issue is there are no supplements on the 4k disc; they are on the enclosed Blu ray. For the price, the 4k + BD + digital is a great buy. The movie is a different matter.

This was my favorite so far of the Star Trek films with Chris Pine. It reminded me of the early Shatner Star Trek series but updated for a modern audience. The 3D field depth was good, but it was disappointing that they did not use the front of the screen. There were quite a few places where stuff coming out of the screen would have made it feel more realistic. That said, I still felt it was worth it to see it in 3D.

Love, love, love this movie. It really does capture the charm of the new universe, but manages to grasp the messages and themes of the original Star Trek that made it so great. A third installment that is on par with or even surpasses the first two! The Steelbook looks and feels great - great addition to any collection.

Gotta love B Buy's steelbooks and this latest Star Trek movie is lots of fun!! Very sad to see what happens to the Enterprise in the opening, but the new characters and Justin Lin's direction is fast and furious! Definitely worth watching!!! Only drawback, a little bit is the main villain, not really being a great villain compared to Khan from the first film series. Minor drawback however in an otherwise kick butt film!

All I can say is if you like Star Trek you won't be disappointed. The new cast is great. The 4K Ultra makes the movie crystal clear. The computer graphics jumps out at you. The sound is encapsulating. I hope they make a few more movies to continue the series. Sadly they will have to replace Anton Yelchin.

The crew faces a most formidable enemy in this thrilling action adventure film. The enemy is unlike anything they have ever seen before. The theme of good verses evil, leaves you in suspense. A thourgly enjoyable film that leaves you holding on to your seat. I highly recommend this film to all Star Trek fans of all ages.

I love all of the new Star Trek movies, but you can tell this one with the new director is different (of course). I expected that, but I didn't expect some of the forced humor and just overall less engaging storytelling in this movie. I still liked the story overall, but it's definitely not the Star Trek you'd expect after seeing the first two. Still worth watching and having in a collection if you have the first two.

My faith in the franchise has been restored! After Into Darkness, I was beginning to think they forgot what Star Trek was supposed to represent. The acting, writing, directing were all superb. The movie was on the longer side, but it didn't seem long. A plot that kept your interest... One of my faves of the series.

This is the third installment of the Star Trek reboot and I think is the best in the series. In my opinion it got lost with all the other big blockbusters during the summer and did not get a fair shake. I was entertained from start to finish and highly recommend picking this movie up and adding it to your collection.

I saw this in the theatre and was just devastated that this was A. Yelchin last movie. Very touching when the last scene was a tribute being paid by Capt. Kirk for the people who died. I could swear that as the camera panned across the cast in the room, it paused for a while in front of Chekov. Just had to get the disc.

The third in a series of fine films. Lots of action as usual. The cast of these films is great. Unfortunately, we lost Anton Yelchin this year. He was a great "Mr. Chekov"! Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto and Karl Urban have great performances as did all of the actors. I have all three of the latest films and love them all!

This movie caught me by surprise and opens the door for the new aged Star Trek sagas. Entertaining from the start, this movie brings excitement and SiFi thriller to the whole family. This movie really changed my mind on the rebooted Star Trek trend and I am looking forward to watching more flowing this great cast.
