Another great Star Trek movie which is a rarity, All the characters are back and the storyline is smooth with picking up new characters. Most movies falter when it come to sequel or third movie, Jurassic Park series is one come to mind but Star Trek movies kept me amazed no matter how many times I seen them.

Disclaimer: I enjoy the old Star Trek movies better. Actually, "First Contact" was my favorite, followed by "Star trek IV." But this movie is enjoyable. It has some of the spirit of the older films while utilizing the best in visual and audio technology. The new crew is sleek, young and improving as they go.

Its star trek, have to own it. I didn’t enjoy this one as much as the last 2. I think number 2 was my fav. But it was still good, action packed, lots of good special effects and a fun film to watch. I enjoyed how they payed homage to leonard nimoy after his death in real life during the making of this film.

This film has a lot more fun levity and humor than the previous two films, and while it feels like an episode of the old show it also sort of betrays the tone of it predecessors. In the first two the stakes were very high and there was a cause and effect between them. This film felt like a reboot of the reboot, not bad but maybe should've had this tone in the first of the series instead of the last.

If they keep adding to the series every 3-4 years, I will certainly keep adding them to my collection. The 2009 'Star Trek' is still my favorite; 'Into Darkness' was also good but not as memorable. 'Beyond' has a new director and writers; not as strong as the others. But once a 'trekker' always a 'trekker'.

this is yet another in the star trek rebooted series. this one is more like a great two part episode of the original tv series. it puts fun back into the movies like the tv show. I really enjoyed it. I also really enjoyed the stellar ATMOS soundtrack included with this release, so did my 7.1.4 audio system!

Very little to say that isn't good about this movie or the series. They keep it interesting and you can walk into this movie a Star Trek fan or not and enjoy it. Justin Lin did a great job making it a superior action movie based on an classic. Make sure you get the Blu-Ray or 4k editions for maximum effect.

I had not seen the movie prior to DVD being released, but I knew I wanted it for my collection. When I was searching and shopping Best Buy online, I saw exclusive steel box option and those are always collector items. Had me sold right there. Movie not too bad. I hope they keep making the Star Trek series.

I saw this in the theaters and was hesitant because the first 2 were great. This just adds to the greatness this series has evolved into. May Anton rest in peace.

Great Steelbook cover, amazing visuals, and a wonderful third installment to the newly rebooted Star Trek trilogy. I surely think this film will amaze people how far we have come with both special effects and actors. Spot on performances from the entire cast and I just kept wanting more of the Enterprise!

What a great movie! I loved that they held the suspense until almost the end. The bad guy was in classic form. The question of why the bad guy is bad adds depth. I don't claim to be a 'movie reviewer'. Just a guy that loves a great movie to get away from life's ruts. And this movie did a great job of that.

I watch this movie on the big screen and it was amazing! I decided to go to Best Buy to purchase this movie on Black Friday and I have to tell you this movie was great for the price and the staff at Best Buy was so friendly. I highly recommend this movie and recommend Best Buy for purchases in the future.

another great installment in this great reboot. nice to see the nimoy and yelchin nods to their passings. the only thing wrong with this movie is wondering who will be or if there will be another chekov and how it will affect the series, because this really is probably the best movie series at the moment.

As a fan of the original Star Trek series, as well as the subsequent movies containing original cast members, I absolutely love the treatment given the characters in these Star Trek reboots. 4k resolution with HDR and Dolby Atmos sound make for terrific home theater experience!

As a steelbook movie, this one is a great one. The movie itself is fantastic, especially in blue ray so for that purpose the steel book version is a great choice with the metal case and wonderful artwork. I recommend this movie to any and all Star Trek fans, or fans of sci-fi or action movies in general.

I've been a Trek fan since I was a kid. I've seen all the shows and movies and own all the movies (the shows are for the most part too expensive to purchase, watch instead on Netflix or Amazon). I did see the movie when it was in the theater, but I wanted to own it as part of my collection, plus see all the extras. Getting the steelbook for the same price as the regular DVD/BR was a great bonus.

The film: I was concerned (after seeing the first trailer) that Star Trek was trying to be 'fast and furious'. I was pleased to discover that there was still plenty of fun Star Trek lore buried in this film. The bluray/dvd/digital copy: No problems. Everything looks and sounds great.

My wife and I went to the theater to see this movie before i purchased the movie. I have always been a fan of Star Trek and I think this new addition makes up for the short comings of the previous installment. there are some cheese moments but the characters seem to be more engaged with each other and interact better. It makes you believe they have been friends for more than just a few months.

I went into this with very low expectations considering it's directed by the Fast and Furious director but left my viewing wanting to watch it again almost immediately because it was so much fun. It's a great summer blockbuster/popcorn flick. Nothing more than that. The cast is great as they always have been and the writing is pretty on par with this reboot series. Nothing great, just fun.

I really enjoyed this Star Trek movie. I've never really payed much attention to the Star Trek world until the new movies. This was a fun and exciting movie. Since I don't have a long history in the franchise, I just go off what I've seen. It's a good movie with some iconic characters. Worth a watch.
