Must see in order to keep up with the series. Not the greatest of all of the Star Trek movies.

Watched with my 73 year mother and 16 year old kid. All enjoyed this film. Quite a bit of violent content. Not the blood and gore. Has a lot of the feel of the old Star Trek shows. My TV can convert 2D to 3D, but quality is better from the 3D disk. The 3D can be a little much during a lot of action.

I was a fan of the original STAR TREK series, and wondered how a new cast of actors could portray the characters? But these new movies are great. Familiar enough to be accepted as Kirk and Bones and Spock, etc., yet different enough to make me believe that I am just learning more about old friends.

Even though this movie was not recorded in 4K but rather rendered in 4K that does not matter because the method they used to render it makes it imperceptible from a true 4K. The movie is great and the 4K effects especially with HDR will blow your mind particularly in the last 30 climactic minutes.

I saw this movie at the theaters and really enjoyed it. When it came out at Best Buy I bought it of course. I have a 3D with surround sound set up, that was also purchased at Best Buy, and watch again and it was even better. I saw many things I didn't see in the theater. Great Buy and Great Movie.

Nice transfer and sound quality, didn't opt for 4K but looks great! LOVE that it's DVD/BLU-RAY, AND Digital Copy. Flexibility and built in back-up is essential with optical disks! Extras were nothing special, but I don't blame Best Buy nor this specific version for that. Trek fan? Buy it! Not really? It has good comedic moments and is a decent romp despite MANY hardcore Trek nits to pick!

great film and the quality is great in both video and audio quality. the special features are slightly lacking but I definitely enjoyed the film and it's presentation. new vision and look from director makes it look fresh....as star trek is a movie about people using a vehicle for transport to a destination and finds adventure, this director seems to have some experience in that area.

I love the newer franchise of Star Trek movies and was looking forward to adding this to my collection. It's always a pleasure knowing that Best Buy is there for my entertainment needs. One of the features I love with the DVD is that it is DVD/Blue-Ray options and I can register it digitally so if I'm away from home I can know that I can watch the movie through my digital movie library.

Awesome movie, really enjoy what they have done with bringing Star Trek back and making it more popular with the younger crowd. I still probably like the first two movies better, but this is a good journey none the less.

Star Trek Beyond is the best of the 3 ST films since the JJ Abrahms reboot. I like it because the new director does not have any call backs to the old series. It is a new story completely. I bought the set because of the 3D version. I collect 3D movies. It is highly entertaining. I recommend it.

I love the new Star Trek franchise. This movie did not disappoint. Great special effects on what would be a "normal" episode of Star Trek. All of the lead characters are perfect in their roles, especially Chris Pine and Zachary Quinto. I do not know who would have made a better Kirk and Spock.

This third movie is another hit for the 'Star Trek' reboot! The writing stays true to the franchise's legacy and this wonderful cast is only rivaled by the originals. Add modern special effects and action sequences and we have something really fun and special here. Can't wait for the next one!

Too much on destruction of the Enterprize scenes. And they were very hard to view because of so much confusion. These people need to get a better sound recorder! It is almost impossible to understand the audio. Once on the ground the movie comes together better. (Except for the audio.)

A good quality movie to watch with family and friends. I enjoy the Star Trek series and think I have this one a bias point. I would say it might be 4 out of 5 stars for most reviewers. The plot was good. The storyline/climax just jumped right into it without good depth on a specific character.

The story id relatively simple, but i gave it 4 starts rather than 5 because it has a level of non plausibility at the end when the mystery is revealed. part of my love of the trek francihse is believability. the end of this left me thinking "um- no i dont think so". But the action and character delevlopement including new characters was true to form. Action scenes were quite good.

Being a huge fan of almost everything Star Trek, this latest rendition of cinema movies has been right on par With The Star Trek universe. The characters are blending nicely their stories are coming together they're developing characters and characteristics that we saw in the TV series in early movies and blending it very nicely into a youthful package.

I've really enjoyed this alternate timeline trilogy, and this one was pretty fun, Anything that I want to discuss kinda falls into spoiler territory, and I don't like doing that, so hopefully if you liked the first two movies in the trilogy you'll trust that this one will be enjoyable, too.

We're Star Trek fans, but somehow we missed this in the theaters! The action is great, and the new generation of cast continues to do a good job with their characters. The new characters for this movie are good, but it's sad knowing that Anton Yelchin (Checkov) won't be in any more movies!

I think I may have enjoyed this entry into the new Star Trek movies a little more than the last outing. It was a little bit more lighthearted than the previous installments. We got more Scotty than the others and I quite enjoyed that, being a big fan of Simon Pegg. If you like the previous two entries, you'll most likely enjoy this one. The blu-ray quality is very good.

I waited to see this movie and was not disappointed, one of the best uhd's on the market. If you have HDR and dolby atmos you are in for a treat with star trek beyond. I ended up getting this for $10 after a $10 rewards certificate and a $5 rewards mystery certificate.....gotta love BB!!!!!
