The new director Justin Lin really brought back the flavor of the old original Star Trek TV Series with this movie. I don't have a Blue -Ray Player so I was looking for the less expensive plain old DVD, thank goodness for Best Buy, I think they had every version.

The latest installment of Star Trek does not disappoint, it is action packed and continues J.J. Abrams take on Gene Roddenberry's epic stories about race, conflict and a better human race . Sadly it is the final Star Trek appearance of the talented Anton Yelchin.

One can only hope that the effects and writing teams can keep up their game in upcoming offerings. I've heard some criticizing about the 'villain', but thought he was good for a bad guy. I mean what could worse than one of the good guys going crazy then going bad?

While there may be a lot more explosions and fighting than the classic Trekkies desire, Captain Kirk still does try to resolve problems and eventually come to the best solution, discovering that simply fighting your way through everything isn't the answer

Finally got to watch Beyond and I have to say it was good. It did take way too much from another Star Trek movie, You fans know what I am talking about. But it is still a fun ride. The Blu-Ray is very good. As usual the DOLBY ATMOS soundtrack is AMAZING!!! WOW!!!

This 3rd installment was EXCELLENT! Great story line. I look forward eagerly to the next one. I hope Simon Pegg has a big part in writing the next one as he did this one. Anton Yelchin will be missed, but I hope they do find someone to replace him.

It was very impressive how the writers embedded "easter eggs" for the fans without bogging down the story. I think that this is the end of the "easter egg" thing, as they have used enough of them in these last three films. Can't wait to see what's next! &:-} -]

If you enjoyed the previous newer Star Trek movies, this one will not disappoint you! I have always been a huge F/X person in movies, ever since seeing the first Star Wars movie at the theater. As the years have gone by, F/X just keeps getting better and better.

This Star Trek movie is pretty good. It has some of the hallmarks of the original series and the questions that that series invoked in viewers, but it also has a lot of the battle/action sequences that seem to dominate movies today. Overall a good movie, and I would like to see more that invoke the thinking and wonder of the original series.

I know 4K gets some serious side eye but there is a considerable quality increase between this and its blu ray counterpart. I only buy 4K when they are on sale and i probably will not replace my DVD versions but will buy 4K from now on as they become available.

Seriously though, the disc worked as it should and i got it on sale for 50% off so yeah, all winning for me. Its one if rhe first movies ive seen on Blueray to offer full Atmos support which is kinda cool even if most folks dont yet have Atmos home systems.

Star Trek didn't have really good movies until this latest trend, they were not like the original series, no where's near as good. Then these new 'young' series came out and I found Star Trek again, such a great movie and series, can't wait for the next one...!

I love Star Trek. I own everything Roddenbury put together. He was a genius. I genuinely like the reboot of the series especially with Pine as Captain Kirk, although no one will ever replace Shatner! But having said those things...we destroyed the enemy with MUSIC? Really, that was the best we could come up with? Overall good, just not great.

Fans of Star Trek will love this. Once again the team is in dire straights! The plot and the special effects are excellent. I really like this group of actors, but am saddened by the passing of Anton Yelchin who has a key role in this film. Highly recommended!

Watching this movie at 4K is wonderful visual eye candy. The colors matched with the special effects of the movie is terrific. The movie itself is very good, but to see it on 4K is a special treat and if you have a sound system, it is an experience to enjoyed.

This movie was fun, if you didn't think about it too much. A little bit of Trek 3 mixed with the Next Gen Insurgence movie. Neither serve well as plots to be borrowed for this third outing of the new Trek. If you are a long time fan, this falls a little short too as a 50th anniversary entry. 23, avid scifi fan from childhood and the 3rd installment of the rebooted Trek universe feels like what I grew up with. It had that action element but a very compelling story to go along with it. Would definitely check this out if you have not already done so.

This is a great movie. The picture on my Samsung plasma 3D is wonderful. I'm gonna hate to see it go as I will not be able to replace it. I personally wish they would not phase out 3D. I think there are more of us out there that like it than those that don't.

I really enjoyed this movie. It started when it should instead of dragging it out. It was well paced and had plenty of action without 'over doing it'. Had the end you'd expect,........if you are like me, otherwise, see for yourself. I won't spoil it for you.

Terrific movie, somewhat saddened knowing of the deaths of Anton Yelchin and Leonard Nimoy. There was fun, action, tongue-in-cheek humor all like the classic series. Kirk, Spock and McCoy are getting into the familiar banter. Like I said, they really got it.
