Finally a Star Trek movie that is like the original series episodes. Really nice motion - saw it in 3D at the theater and bought that version for home. Haven't taken time to download the digital copy yet, as the 3D Bluray is still a lot of fun to watch.

Most people aren't supporting 3D technology, but since I enjoy it I will always pick the 3D release if it is an option. This film is probably the most FUN Star Trek to come out in a long time, and to watch it in 3D made it just that much more enjoyable!

I really enjoy the Star Trek movies. Beyond was very entertaining and even better I got it at a great price at Best Buy. This movie will keep you entertained if you enjoy science fiction. I love the fact that it includes the digital version, so I don't have to hunt down the disc when I want to watch it. Great movie at a great price.

This is a fresh story not some rewrite like a lot of Star Trek Movies. It is written in a form that Gene Roddenberry would have been proud of. If you like Star Trek this is a movie for you... If you like Science Fiction it is a good stand alone movie.

Another great movie in the Star Trek series. This is a great update to the classic Star Trek franchise. Great character development, true to the characters we've known all these years yet uniquely developed personalities. Overall a very enjoyable film.

This is no longer the Star Trek rebirth origins story but instead the transition to "the voyages of the Starship Enterprise". This begins the EPISODES and of the interaction of the crew members. Well done!! Also a great tribute to AMBASSADOR Spock.

This entry in the Star Trek series is outstanding. The action is fun but it never overwhelms the story. The crew is in top form and everyone has a chance to shine. The new characters are well developed. I recommend this movie to any fan of the series.

if you are going to buy a movie on release day, it just doesnt make any sense to buy anything but the steelbook. That being said, this package lacks a 3d version. It also has very few special features or inserts that sweeten the deal. You are essentially paying for a pretty case. We should expect more for the premium version

This third installment may not be as strong as the first two, but nonetheless, this is still a great addition to the series. The UHD presentation is gorgeous with the HDR revealing strong contrast between the brilliant bright colors and dark black levels. This also has a Dolby Atmos and a Dolby TrueHD 7.1 audio track.

As a die hard Star Trek fan I am always thrilled when a new story line comes out or existing story lines are continued or re-envisioned. The new "Original Series" timeline is no exception and this movie is an excellent continuation of that new vision!

Unfortunate that I was out of town during the theater showing of this latest Star Trek film. So I anxiously had to wait for Best Buy to offer their Steel Book edition. Good action film, but I really hate the Enterprise getting destroyed in every film.

Spoiler! Spock Dies and Still Lives in the Kelvin Timeline. But this is not the first time Spock dies and lives..(the Search for Spock). RIP Leonard Nimoy..Live Long and Prosper Zach Quinto..A must see and have for all Trekkies..

I bought the Star Trek Beyond DVD with three versions, Blu-Ray, DVD and Digital giving me the ability to watch it on different devices. The price was great and we've watched it many times. The more you watch it, the more you get out of the storyline.

Saw this at the theater and knew I had to pick it up when it launched on blu-ray. Really great tribute to Leonard Nimoy and pretty fun storyline. If you are a fan of the JJ Abrams' vision of Star Trek, this is a must have addition to your collection.

Full of action, drama, and humor. Hits the best elements the classic Trek-Original series. Also, the tribute to Spock Prime(the late Leonard Nimoy) is very moving. I don't understand why this movie wasn't more popular during it's run in the theaters!

Really enjoyed this movie to, out of the trilogy it’s my least favorite though due to the feel of the movie it wasn’t jj abrams directed so while still a sold movie it just didn’t have the emotional feel, and action feel of the previously two. Still very enjoyable.

The first two star trek films by JJ Abrams had a very bright and colorful style. Star Trek Beyond is much darker. The itself is very entertaining, but just seems to miss a little of that magic. The 1080 blu-ray offers excellent audio and video. Fans should definitely pick this up. Casual viewers will find a decent action movie.

This was an amazing movie! While I'm sure we all mourn the loss of Anton Yelchin (and his portrayal of Chekov), this was an excellent addition to this installment. This series, is an excellent re-imagining of the Star Trek franchise! Would recommend.

This was a good premise and very well done. The special effects were as awesome as usual, but it was a true dude flick since it was all action. The only allusion to romance was a bit of foreshadowing for the story line. Looked great on my new TV!

I found this to be the best film in the rebooted Star Trek series yet. It strikes a great balance between action and story telling. It's also the first film in the series that really balances the ensemble cast and lets all of the characters shine. As far as summer blockbusters of 2016 go, this was one of the best films this year.
