I was really skeptical about watching, and purchasing this movie, because the first two of the remakes were great but I did not believe they would have continued to make another great sequel when many movies have done terrible sequels. Well worth it.

Justin Lin did a great job on this film. After production on the film was completed and a month before the film's release, Anton Yelchin died in a freak car accident. During the ending credits, there is a dedication caption which reads, "For Anton."

Everyone was afraid when Justin Lin took over as director of Trek 3 we would get Fast n Furious Space, but what we got was an excellent movie that got back to the roots of Star Trek. A fun ride and I didn't miss JJ Abrams and his lens flare one bit.

It's more Star Trek, so you either love it or hate it. I happen to enjoy the interaction between characters played by Chris Pine, Karl Urban, and Zachary Quinto.

This was better than expected as I missed the theatrical run on this one. I picked up the limited edition steel book to add to my ever-growing collection. The story and presentation on this was fantastic. The video and surround sound are top notch.

There are some instances where brand new discs have horrible smudges on them, which makes the playback skippy and hard to watch. Like the factory worker handling them had a greasy grilled cheese and just didn't care. Luckily this was not the case.

Star Trek is by far one of the best and my favorite space movies. I loved the original version, but the new one with Chris Pines is so well done. There is action packed throughout the entire movie, and comical scenes as well between the actors.

I absolutely love Star Trek so when I saw that I could get the steelbook for the normal price, it was a must have. It looks fantastic with the rest of my Star Trek collection and the steelbook is super cool looking. Would Recommend to any Trek fan

This movie has some great moments, the cast is once again superb, and the visuals are stunning! But somehow this feels less cohesive than the first two movies. Many rag on Into Darkness, but I really liked that movie. This could have been great with just a few minor tweaks IMO. It's still good though, and worth the purchase.

Not sure why people hate the reboots. If you can think of a better way to preserve Star Trek without keeping the original cast members around forever as digital creations, go for it. I did think the other rebooted Trek movies were better. This felt more like a TV episode than a huge blockbuster. But it was still enjoyable.

People complained that the cast looked tired and like they didn't want to be there. However, if you WATCH the movie and know the series you'll understand why. For a casual viewer I can understand the confusion, but for a fan I found it well done.

Classic Star Trek with a twist courtesy of director Justin Lin brings a little four on the floor action from Fast and Furious, the twist is Jaylah the rebel alien warrior who changes up the mix along with the Trek vibe that brings it all together.

You know I have not been a fan of these star trek remakes (I'm a die hard STTNG fan). I was not expecting much but this one surprised me. It felt very star trekish. It was funny, had a good adventure, action and I was amazed how much I enjoyed it.

Star Trek:Beyond is a great movie. It's also shorter in length than the previous movie, Into Darkness. Action packed, poignant, and humorous all at the same time! It was riveting until the end. I recommend this one to all Trekkers!

If you liked it in the theater you'll like it at home... Hopefully there's no crying children and week old popcorn. Bonus is that you can watch the movie in your jammies. Do that in the theater and they kick you out. Don't ask me how I know this.

I am a Star Trek Fan of the highest level. Without giving my age I watched the Original Series when it first aired! I enjoy the Star Trek movies as a fan, not so much as a critic. The continuing adventures of the Enterprise crew, need I say more.

I have been following the Star Trek movies and this one blew my socks off. I really do like how this way the best way to show how far the Trek movies have come. It definitely kept me on the edge of my seat and the visual effects were really good.

The third outing in the Star Trek franchise is an action packed space opera filled with TV show references and nods. The movie was good but the first movie was better. the special effects were excellent. The 4k though good is not reference quality... But the HDR is incredible and enhances the movie tremendously.

It's hard to imagine Star Trek without Nemoy but this was a fine send off. The movie itself was great; a must have for any fan of the franchise. It's going to be interesting to see what becomes of Chekov after the untimely passing of Yelchin. :-(

This Star Trek franchise has hit yet another one out of the park! Great film, and what a great deal, getting this on Black Friday at our Best Buy store. Great experience in-store...very well organized for such a busy chaotic night (Thanksgiving).
