In my opinion The wrath of Khan was the best star trek movie, with limited technologies of the 80s it was well written, casting, and directed. The new movies come close but non like this one I could not stop watching it time and time again.

The scenes between the crew members is what makes this movie for me. The story is a little lacking (which is sad because I am a HUGE Simon Pegg fan). But, like I said, any scene where 2 or 3 of the crew members are alone together is golden. So, not as good as the first 2 movies but still worthy of being in the series.

We have really enjoyed these new Star Trek movies starring Chris Pine. We are Star Trek fans from the original series (shout out to William Shatner, you will always be our favorite) but they have done a nice job with this new incarnation.

Saw this one in the movies that enjoyed it but did not love it. However, upon subsequent viewings on DVD I've liked it more and more every time I watched it. I believe the initial viewing might be a little overwhelming to take things in because the scope of it is so massive. Really good enjoyable movie

The Movie was fast paced, and the story line was in line with the last movie. Color and sound was excellent. Sound was fully immersed, with great spatula ton. Voices was easy to understand. Five stars. Will not dispoint. Highly recommended.

I saw this one in the theater and now at home and love it more at home because of all the behind the scenes things. Of the three of this set of actors this is the best one so far and looks great on Blue Ray. I am very pleased with this one

This is the first truly original story with this new timeline crew so I was looking forward to it. Sadly, the story is a complete mess. It just doesn't make a whole lot of sense. The villain's motivations seem completely out whack with what is happening. The new white-faced alien is the lone bright spot. She is pretty interesting and is destined to return if there are any more movies with this cast (this movie bombed so that's a bit of question mark). The special effects are good and each member of the new crew is comfortable with their roles so they all do just fine. The story is the problem. Very confusing pretty much from the beginning and even more so at the end. And lots of things that happen in between often defy logic. Star Trek fans might like it. Everyone else, probably not so much. Simon Pegg, who wrote the screenplay, should stick to acting. (He's Scotty)

I have been a Star Trek series fan my whole life. The last two movies in the series have been great. This movie is no exception! The storyline, special effects, action sequences, and subplots are all at a high level. I recommend it highly!

Saw this movie in the movie house, now I'm happy to own it as the Star Trek franchise is always a fun watch. The bluray xfer looks great in hi-def, you won't be disappointed. Might want to get the 3D version as well for completeness sake.

Saw it in the theatres and wanted it as soon as it came out. Hearing Justin Lin the director of Fast and the Furious was director I knew it would have lots of action. Very good movie with very good action scenes. Definitely recommend it.

This is a great family entertainment movie all will enjoy! Purchased from Best Buy on sale with free shipping! Price couldn't be beat elsewhere! Movie had great picture and sound! Highly recommended for all Star Trek fans!

The Star Trek re-boot movies are the best of the series. And this 3rd installment is the best as the story is so different and new. The new characters are great & I hope they continue in the series. Keep up the new & unique story lines.

Star Trek Beyond is an action-packed, special effects vehicle, but that's all it is. In becoming so, it's strayed from the vision of Trek creator Gene Roddenberry. The story is thin and not at all consistent with the themes of the Star Trek universe. Still, it's a great SF action flick if that's what you're after.

A Trekie' a dream, another chance to jump aboard and take off for another adventure. Where do I sign up? Oh yea I am already part of the company. This crew are something special and the stories are enthralling. Enjoy the ride my friend.

Better than the first two re-cast Star Trek movies. The film is fine and the Blu-Ray looks good. Even a decent amount of extras scenes/gags/etc. Just wish there was a "play all" for the bonus items as they're all 5 to 7 minutes long.

This movie is easily the best of the three latest movies in the rebooted Star Trek film franchise. Great story telling combined with great acting and plenty of action make for a fun film viewing experience. Highly recommended!

I read this review...totally bullarcky! Beyond" is undoubtedly messy, like a Starfleet ship that's taken its fair share of beatings, but it is frequently a reminder of how good the series can be when all its engines are in working order.

Star Trek Beyond is a great sequel. A decent way into the first Five Year Journey, the crew of the Enterprise find themselves in yet another tight bind. But, as a good crew will, they pull together and work out a FANTASIC solution!!!!!!

I love this movie! The franchise doesn't disappoint. The action Is on point and who can go wrong with Chis Pine in the captain's chair. I watched this on the big screen and I enjoyed intergalactic battles just as much. Loved it totally!

I am not a Trekkie but I enjoy the movies and the characters. The new series of movies have been enjoyable and very action oriented. This one is no exception. The villain is great but I wish a bit more could have been done with his backstory. The main characters were consistent with their history and often funny.
