Not as detailed regarding relationships, but still great characters and acting. Excitement loved that they added the first movies music theme in. Everything needs relationship and connection to be cohesive. Look to the old stories, that is why #1 Star Trek did so well! Took story lines and twisted the original.

This is your basic PG 13 action movie, think Avengers or Avatar level of content. As far as quality, it's a fairly good movie, even if it doesn't quite stack up to the levels of the last two Star Trek films. As for violence, there isn't much to be worried about because it's more like a Classic Television Episode!

Star Trek Beyond is enjoyable for everyone from the uninitiated to series devotees. It is a bit heavier on the action sequences compared to other Kelvin timeline Star Trek movies due to the new director, but it is extremely enjoyable.

What you expect from Start Trek, you get delivered. Movie has a good storyline (maybe a bit too obviously referenced to Star Trek Generations, which is strange, since that one has Picard as captain, not Kirk...), good effects and enough of Scotty and Bones one-liners to keep to movie going. Enjoyed watching it.

I always try to buy the steel box movies when I can. Best Buy usually has some great exclusive boxes for new releases and Star Trek was no exception. I have yet to watch the movie itself but have watched the others and they were great.

This is a good movie to have in the ever growing movie collection ... An enjoyable movie to own to see when you need a good movie fix!! Here's to continuing growing movie collections and finding larger movie shelves! Keep on watching!

The third film of the reboot with a closer approach to the tv series. It follows the essence but now aided by technological improvements in order to give greater visual impact, giving it a friendly and exuberant intergalactic journey.

Despite the poor reception of the first trailer, I knew I wanted to see this film. It did not disappoint! The Beastie Boys song featured in that first trailer plays an important part in the film. It's a fun jaunt through the universe!

The Star track reboots continue to set the new bar for sequels. The trailer did no justice on the potency of this movies core. The chemistry between Kirk and Spock are just as real as it was 50 years ago. I highly recommend this movie

Just love how this adapataion of this series has been playing out . You get to see the bbackground and relationships between the characters. Even if your not really a star trek fan this is still very enjoyable . Great story lines etc

This movie was the third installment of the new Star Trek franchise and it was an improvement over the 2nd movie. I recommend it to any fan who enjoys good sci-fi and action/adventure movies. A pleasure to watch in crystal clear hd.

Unlike the first 2 movies of this reboot of the Star Trek series, "Beyond" reminds me strongly of the original TV series from the 1960's. While the first 2 recent Star Treks were groundbreaking and extremely entertaining, this one is a typical episode from the crew's "5-year mission to explore new planets."

This was a really cool movie. Justin Lin came aboard to take over the director's chair for J.J. Abrams, and he did a really great job. If you like movies and you want to see a cool one, then check out this movie! You won't regret it.

Good special effects make it worth watching but storyline, script, and plot are pretty weak which eventually eats away at the fun. Interesting effects of the nasty bad guys unleashing terrible weapon that simply tears everything to shreds, including StarFleet's finest ship. Did like the Yorktown space globe.

Director Justin Lin gave us a great visual cinematic adventure with great new characters. It has the return cast plus new villain in Idris Alba. Lots of action and interpersonal story lines. Grear movie. Includes an homage to Spock.

One of the best Star Trek movies. The special effects were fantastic. I enjoyed it from beginning to end. Plus, I got an unbelievable price. You wont be sorry you bought this.

The first two films were fine but this one seems to align a little more with the Trek verse and has a more original story. Fairly ordinary collection of extra features. Two deleted scenes, some documentaries and a commentary track.

I bought it because it was 3D and because I had the other 2. Visually enjoyable, great color, 3D was great. The shameless attempt to please the "bacon, lettuce, and tomato" crowd was unnecessary and irrelevant to the plot. Star Trek aficionados will enjoy it, as will fans of gratuitous violence (I am one.)

Though hard to compare with the first Star Trek reboot movie this one as the final of the new trilogy was excellent and nearly as good. Great cast and fun action with humor interspersed made it another of the better Trek offerings.

Normally I find sequels to be a bit of a let down. However, in this case, this movie was every bit as good as the previous films in the series. I thoroughly enjoyed this movie from start to finish and the visual effects were great!
