I am a Star Trek fan and after seeing the first 'new' movie, I was anxious to see the second one. I do hope they continue with others because, although the original cast was good and have their place in the Star Trek Hall of Fame, I think the new cast does an excellent job. Of course, the new special effects don't hurt either compared to the original 60's shows. Hope to see more!

As all Star Trek movies, this is also a gem. I'm very impressed with the production quality of each included version. The 4K UHD disc is stellar!, BluRay looks and sounds Terrific and iTunes download on my iPhone did not disappoint. A great value not to need to buy on different formats, but have versatility to watch again and again.

JJ Abrams stays true to the Star Trek legacy with this movie. Even though there's a new cast, there are plenty of connections to the old storylines. It's a blast for all, but especially existing Star Trek fans!

I've been a fan of all thing Star Trek since I got hooked on the original series. JJ Abrams is brilliant, bringing back a villian from the the first set of movies, but changing the story of the character. And the ensemble is great, can't think of any other actors that would fit better. And having Noel Clarke, Mickey from Doctor Who, was great, even though it was a small role.

What can I say about Star Trek Into Darkness. In my opinion, this is hands down the best out of the new series of star trek movies. The visuals are insane on the 4k version. The sound quality will blow you away. If you don't own this, I highly recommend adding this to your collection. You will not be disappointed.

Very well done Star Trek. The plot is good, the movie keeps you interested and leaves you wondering what will happen next. It is nice to see that Nimoy makes another appearance in the film. The film did leave a couple of questions about what happens in the future since the story didnt exactly line up with the original Star Trek series. Overall a great addition the the series.

Star Trek into Darkness continues the re invention of the original star trek series of movies and TV show. There is a lot more action and special effects in this new adaptation which really keeps you riveted. Also spock is also depicted by the end as an action hero which was a role reserved strictly for captain kirk in the original series. The new actors do a remarkable job of capturing the original actors manerisms making you believe that this is how the original actors would have reacted if they were in the same situations

I bought this on sale for $10 and it was definitely worth is. I am a big fan of the artwork on the cover and I do enjoy collecting the steelbooks. In terms of the movie, I also a big fan as well. The movie is a really good alternate timeline compared to the old star trek movie and shows. It is action packed and very entertaining.

Its a great movie. the CGI is amazing. Pine and Quinto are amazing as Kirk and Spock. They do a great job of showing the blossoming friendship between the two. I would have a like a more original storyline for the second movie. Instead it came across as more of a remake of the Wrath of Khan from the 1980's. All in all its a great film if you appreciate it for what it is!

I enjoyed the movie. If you like action action sci fi, you'll love this movie. I've always enjoyed Star Trek more than Star Wars. Lots action, explosions, drama, and humor. The 3D blue ray version is incredible. One of the best 3D movies I have had the pleasure of watching at home. Recommend

Expectations met. Sometimes all the hype doesn't match the product. It does here. Sci-Fi effects and imagination are typical Star Trek. Which is a good thing. 3D is breathtaking at times!!! Enough said. As usual; my only thing is that the bonus features are not available in 3D??? Come on Hollywood. Someone should set a precedence here. I can't be the only one???

IMAX scenes includes. Solid picture and sound. Good addition to a 4K collection. I also recommend the 3D version of this movie (if you can find it) I liked the movie itself, while others hated it, but I think it has a lot of re-watch-ability.

Great movie, full of surprises and new adventures. The addition of Benedict Cumberbatch as the adversary was a brilliant touch. Kept me at the edge of my seat! I purchased this item at this time even though I had purchased it when it first came out. Made the mistake of lending it to daughter, and well, I haven't seen it since. Had to get my own copy.. again.

It is the second movie in the new Star Trek adventures. This movie delves deeply into the new world of hybrid humans and their creators. It is a very good movie and the crew of the Enterprise fights not only the hybrids but the people inside Star Fleet who are trying develop a new class of warriors to fight the enemies of the Federation.

I absolutely LOVE this movie! I'm a huge fan of the first one so I was dying to see this one. I heard nothing but good reviews and I have to agree that the plot, acting, graphics, everything was simply great. I do wish this wasn't (supposedly) the last one they're making. Packaging and shipping was pretty good though they did leave one of my other DVDs out of the package even though they said it was supposed to be there. Anyway, I definitely recommend this movie to scifi fans and fans of the first Star Trek.

Movie may not be the best in the series, but the features are great and I'm glad I made the purchase just to have the REAL DEAL full quality 4K copy that my Star Trek nerdy demands require. Sound is outstanding in this one. I better grab Beyond too!

Don't really care that much about extras, I'm in it for the movie itself, and this one is a romp! I grew up on the original Star Trek series and loved it for the futuristic vision it had, but the Abrams movies really make Trek pop! I really like that he's gone back to the origins of how things got to be where they were in the TV series and the cast is fantastic.

I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the 1st Star Trek reboot, so it was great to see how this one brought more great stuff to the table. I'm more a Star Wars guy than Star Trek, so me giving this 2-thumbs up means a lot. Great special effects, great story line, quality acting, I can't find anything bad about this one. Run out and pick up your copy now!

This movie is a roller-coaster ride from beginning to end. It is a wonderful follow-up to the reboot Star Trek movie and has a large number of call-backs to old Star Trek episodes and movies. If you're a Star Trek fan, you'll love this film...if you just started with the JJ Abrams reboot, you will still enjoy Into Darkness, but you won't get as much out of it.

Just buying this movie for the HDR. I already own the regular Blu-ray, but man does HDR make such a huge difference in picture quality. Going from SD to HD was a huge jump, HD to 4k, not as noticeable, but the jump from SDR to HDR makes a world of difference. Definitely worth picking up just for the improved picture!
