Great movie that does true alternate universe to a classic Star Trek tale. Beautiful on blu ray and a must have! I also love the best buy exclusive cover. Chris pine does awesome as Kirk and it is a nice reprieve to see him and Spock get a long better and show more emotion.... Spooks human side does show more in this one.

Thoroughly enjoyed the movie on bluray. Bought the non-3D Bestbuy exclusive content thinking it may be deleted scenes (at least that was what the rep said) but instead got some lame vignettes about how the movie was produced. Oh well, next time I will just go with the 3D one even though I was able to convert from 2D to 3D.

This was probably my favorite 4k movie so far and I've watched all star trek's and Logan. Reason was because of there use of 16:9 and full screen which I havent seen another use yet. Extra 4k detail was really noticeable on this one vs others for some reason on Sony 65" 4k HDR system.

Very good follow up to the current original movie. This current Star Trek Trilogy mixes a good blend of the the original character stories with more detail added to the characters and modern action and technology.

I will always like the original Star Trek, but I love the movies with the new cast. They are not boring at all, unlike some of the past movies. Little surprised with their casting choice for the young Khan, but this guy does a pretty good job. No one will ever do it better than Ricardo Montalban, but no complaints here.

Although I liked the first one better, this second entry in the rebooted franchise is fun and visually stunning. I normally am not a fan of digital copies but this download includes and itunes exclusive visual commentary that is fantastic. Wish it was on disc. If you are a fan of bonus features, be sure to check it out.

I'm a Trekkie from way back. Chris Pine makes an excellent James T. Kirk! The other actors are well cast and have the little mannerisms of the original members of Star Trek series or early movies down pat. It was an interesting twist to develop the Khan character from the beginning. Great action and overall fun flick.

What can I say its Star Trek? they did a good job casting the actors for the roles. They remind you entirely of the original characters. this movie is a great adaptation of the original crew and action action action and great cinematography- on blu ray clear and crisp. Excellent movie to watch many times over and over!

As a Star Trek fan, I enjoyed the movie, but there were a couple things I didn't like. Quinto's KHAN!!!!! cry made me laugh. Sorry, he's a terrific Spock, but that didn't work. Another was the crash into San Francisco. Just didn't like it. And the Enterprise rising out of the cloud at the end was too much like the scene when it rises out of the rings of Saturn. But I did enjoy the movie. Cumberbatch is a terrific villian, and Peter Weller was great.

Definitely a must have for any Star Trek fan's movie collection. The special effects are outstanding. This movie will not disappoint. Loved it. On top of that, I got the movie at a great price.

I'm a huge sci-fi fan and i've been waiting 10 years to finally upgrade my entertainment system. My old TV is a Sony 55" Grand Wega and i finally upgraded to the Samsung 65" 4K TV with the sony Blu-ray player. WHAT A WORLD OF DIFFERENCE! Star Trek was my first experience in 3D Blu-Ray and it was amazing!!!!

Having been around for the classic television series through the William Shatner & Leonard Nimoy movies...the new cast and storylines for the current Star Trek franchise will keep it going for years. Well-directed with fine young actors and great new computerized graphics, this is a must-see for any sci-fi fan.

Paramount was not nice to fans of extras for their DVD/Blu-Ray release of Star Trek Into Darkness, because the regular edition doesn't have many and the exclusive extras are spread among many retailers. Even worse, those extras aren't even on an actual disc, but have to be downloaded. However, I would greatly recommend this movie. You will love it if you are a Star Trek fan, and you will love it if you haven't seen any Star Trek movies.

Being a long-time fan of the original series and the movies, I really enjoyed the movie. The paradox/parallel between this second movie and The Wrath of Khan was well played out. Without saying anything that would require a spoiler alert, i enjoyed the twist in the Krik/Spock interaction in the warp-core scene.

If you are interested in a good 3D bluray before they become obsolete, this might be the movie for you. First it's a Star Trek movie so that is a plus. It is also in 3D which is cool if you have the equipment for it. It hought it look great on my TV and was totally entertained!!

Upgrade of the original second movie involving Kahn with a twist.. story line totally different from original 1982 version... I think Ricardo Montalban would agree his version was too stagee and he hung on every sentence when he spoke from one or two spots throughout the entire movie.. The new updated version is way better...

This UHD disc is another reference quality disc in the ultra hd library. Exceptional colors and awesome sound mix. This disc retains the original IMAX sequences which were available only in the Star Trek Compendium blu ray collection. Must own for fans and worthy upgrade

Star Trek Into Darkness is an awesome movie. The plot is AMAZING!!!! It is an excellent addition to the Star Trek fan base. The only downside that I have with this DVD/Blu-Ray combo is that only the Blu-Ray has special features. I am a little bummed about it, but it's a good reason to find a blu-ray player.

Star Trek Into Darkness looked good in 4K and kept me entertained all the way through. I've seen the Star Trek from 2009, and know about Star Trek some but not real familiar with like one of the main villains in this movie, but knew enough about him from what's in this movie.

Into Darkness continues the Star Trek reboot. The newer franchise is definitely for a newer audience -- the plot, pacing, sets, and special effects are for a contemporary crowd. The opening scenes alone are fantastic in HD and you can tell that the goal, beyond the plot, was for a strong visual experience.
