Star Trek always made you think, but special effects took on a life of their own, and Kahn was portrayed as immortal and superstrong, to the point of being ridiculous, and Spock was overly emotional in attacking Kahn.

Of the 3 Star Trek movies, it's not my favorite but I do like it. Star Trek Beyond, Star Trek, Star Trek Into the Darkness is how I put it. :)

This is one of the better presentations available on UHD blu-ray with High Dynamic Range. However, it falls short of the best examples (such as The Revenant and Planet Earth 2).

It should be a gorgeous UHD presentation but it is not compatible with my Xbox One S. I bought it and it wouldn't play on my Xbox, I switched another copy and still not working.

I have to give this franchise credit for maintaining consistency in story line and character development. Not many surprises but still mildly entertaining for hardcore and dfringe fans alike.

Disappointing 4k transfer. I wouldn't have purchased it if I had previewed the a few scenes first.

Fair film. Torn about the nods to older films and series episodes. Huge Star Trek fan, would prefer to see it helmed by someone who respects the canon and history of the series and films.

The movie had a good look and fun action, but the story left a lot to be desired. The humor was there as with the first Star Trek reboot, but the plot was underwhelming and felt forced.

This movie continues it's character development from the 2009 Star Trek movie. It has it's comedic elements along with a few action scenes. It's good entertainment.

Good special effects and acting. A little too long and implausible. Probably liked more by Star Trek fans.

The case just fell apart once the plastic wrap was removed. I did not see any difference between blue ray and 4k version.

I wanted to like this movie since The Wrath of Khan is the best of the original series. Unfortunately this is watered down pablum for those wanting effects over story.

Loved the first one. The building of the characters was great, story was great. This seemed to be thrown together and lacked depth that the characters had in the first one.

This is not a movie for a hardcore Trekkie. Great camera work and action scenes but as far as a story goes you had better find another movie. I would give it a 3.2 out of 5

A VERY GOOD MOVIE TO SEE BUT IS A TAKE OFF OF THE WRATH OF KHAN WITH SLIGHTLY DIFFERENT TWISTS.HAS ACTION AND EXCITEMENT BUT MISSING THAT SOMETHING SPECIAL.

I'm not Trekkie, but I do like the Star Trek movies. I like the new look of the Star Trek characters. I like that they brought back Star Trek to the big screen.

Don't know what's going with the Star Trek series but not as clean as it should be. Make me feel like I could have just gotten the blu ray.

My wife is a huge Trekkie fan, so I got this for her for Christmas. It has great effects and action scenes, but the series just isn't for me.

I think the first star trek was better. But overall pretty satisfying to watch.

Great movie, but the upscaling is noticeable. Unless you’re a huge fan of the series, just get it on blu-ray.
