I liked the 4K HDR version of this film. Greater color saturation and resolution in evidence from the get go. Dolby Atmos 7.1 audio is great. The movie itself is one of the better ones of the modern Star Trek franchise. Buy with confidence if on sale.

I guess J.J. Abrams wanted to stay true to the original movies with this sequel introducing us to Kahn as the original series did. I like the new series much better than the original and think Benedict Cumberbatch did an excellent job portraying Kahn.

I love the Star Trek reboot. The cast is amazing, and the care and detail that went into the shooting of the films has paid off. This movie is even more amazing when viewed in 3D. Well worth the excellent price that Best Buy charged me for this movie. The shipping was spot on as well.

An enjoyable continuation to the reboot started by Abrams, although haters of his flare will continue to grate their teeth through this installment. Cheap plot devices ruin on occasion an otherwise enjoyable action sci-fi film with serious undertones that bring out an occasional tear.

This is probably the best of the 3 new Star Trek movies. This being the second film with just amazing acting by Benedict Cumberbatch and of course the crew of the Enterprise. This one is very intense and just full of great acting!

As a sequel to the 2009 film I thought that Into Darkness was great. However, I wish that there was more interaction between Bones and Jim. Not that I didn't love the interaction between Jim and Spock, but Bones and Jim would have made it better. The rest of the film was great though.

Now we get to see the origin of Khan and what got him dumped on a remote planet. Why he has a vendetta against Kirk. Though the actor playing the young Khan does not resemble or sound like the old Khan. Can't wait for the next installment of this find reboot of the Star Trek movies.

I'm among those who really, really liked this film. Apparent plot holes upon first viewing were comfortably filled with a second and third viewing, which were just as much fun watching it in 3D at home on the more compact -- which seemed to enhance the depth -- screen. Recommended. Don't listen to the whiny old-school fans who would always find something to whine about, no matter how good the film was.

Maybe the best Star Trek movie?! Great cast, amazing special effects. I love that it revisits The Wrath of Khan (prequel) which was previously my favorite Star Trek movie. Love the Steelbook packaging.

I first saw this the opening weekend of ironman 3, had intended to see that movie..but the showings for the week were booked solid, so we saw startrek into darkness, and I liked it. it made me give the previous film in the series a shot. well worth watching.

I have been collecting Blu Ray Steelbooks for a while now, so I was thrilled when Best Buy decided to release some movies in this format. I made a special trip to my local Best Buy and bought seven of them. The Steelbook case is beautiful. The movie inside is really good too!

Good acting. It was fun to see this group back together with great additions. The only plot device that really bothered me was that the transporters could transport down but they weren't capable of beaming someone up. Didn't they show in the first movie that they were capable of locking in on fast moving targets? Anyway I enjoyed so much that I didn't want it to end. Looking forward to Star Trek 3.

I must admit that I jumped on the STAR TREK bandwagon late in the game. I didn't discover it until the 2009 film. That being said, I'm a Trekkie for life! After having going back to watch TOS (and everything else in the ST canon), it was great to hear references to those works pop up in INTO DARKNESS (including Tribbles)! I love this film now!

If you liked the first movie with Chris Pine and the rest of the group, you'll love this one too. I have been a trekkie for years and never thought that I would like the new characters. I am just very happy that this the saga has been continued.. . and they haven't cut corners...

Not sure why the promotional materials tried to keep it a secret that this is almost a remake of Star Trek 2 since it probably would've fared better at the box office. It is a great movie, possibly better than the last. Definitely lives up to the legacy and highly recommended.

I know some people don't like Star Trek but the reboot is good. I find the action and special effects good. I got a great deal on Black Friday and I figure for a price of a happy meal I might as well own the movie so I can watch it as often as I like.

I have been excited about this release for sometime. I have hearing loss so without subtitles I lose the ability to understand the dialogue. This is why I no longer go to the theaters to see these movies. Received this for Christmas and what a great gift. For a Star Trek fan the story line was very interesting. I recommend you watch this and purchase the DVD so you can watch it over and over.

One of the best movies of the year has turned into one of the must have Blu-rays for anyones audio/video library. This is a great disk for testing the limits of your home theater/audio system. The picture is outstanding and the colors really pop. This disc does not disappoint.

I own the blu ray but just had to have all 3 Star Trek movies on 4k disc. What an awesome picture. HDR really makes a difference. Colors and images are spectacular! Make sure you have a true 4k player. Pick them all up at Best Buy and enjoy the ride.

Continues in the same vein as the original, so if you didn't care for that one look elsewhere. Lots of action and a plot twist that will drive purist to drink but viewed on it's own (along with the original) it's a lot of fun. The steel book is just awesome by the way.
