While I can't in good conscience rate this movie any lower than a 3, I am absolutely LIVID that these are not properly labeled as the Special Edition cuts. I was sold on this under the impression that they were finally releasing blurays of the original, unaltered editions of the movies, and while the added elements do look better than on the DVDs, they still effectively ruin the movie for me. DO NOT BUY THIS if you want to see the original theatrical version of the movie.

If there was one movie I could watch everyday for the rest of my life, it would be this one. I am not a star wars guru and I don't sleep with a lightsaber but I did want to be a jedi at one point. (Didn't we all?) If you have never seen this movie then you need to not wait a moment more and watch this movie! It is a gripping story that will keep you on your toes until the gripping climax that will make you screaming for more. Star wars, you either like it or you havent watched it.

So far so good. I received it hassle free and in a very timely manner. Delivered directly to my door. It is a gift and will be traveling soon up north. I did not open the DVD for it protection in traveling. Thank you Best Buy will always purchase from you.

It's not the original movie and has Lucas alterations. I don't mind the changes but others might. The only one that seems out of place is Han Solo interaction with Jabba the Hutt. The CGI still isn't great and it sticks out like a sore thumb. The picture and sound quality is amazing. Worth the purchase if you're fine with the alterations.

This is a must have for all die-hard Star Wars fans! Besides owning the one that started it all, in glorious Blu-ray high def, this is packaged in a collectible tin "steelbook" with awesome Darth Vader art cover! I collected all 6, of course and they look great on my shelf! May the force be with you!

This here has been the pinnacle of what gem we have today. If you've not seen Star Wars, I recommend you start at Episode One then binge watch to properly bask in it's glory. You'll thank my review later. I have absolutely no ragrets.

It's the original Star Wars, what's not to like?? Lol jk anyways it's a great epic movie and the steelbook case is really nice, has old school artwork on the back and I just love it.. gonna get them all like this

This movie alone is awesome, but it being in the steelbook case is even better. The back of the steelbook has the movie poster from the original movie on it. Very cool

Just looks soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo amazing on blu ray plus I have a 80" lcd tv so it's like watching in a movie theater.

I got this collectors edition while the force awakens arrived to the stores. Now I have a full saga in steelbook cases. Awesome!

You know you can't go wrong with a Star Wars movie and this won't disappoint. Great addition to my Star Wars collection.

Like these first 6 movies, must get if you are a fan of star wars and the steel book makes the better.

I got so caught up with the release of the new steel books and awesome covers that I rushed to Best Buy to purchase the original trilogy (episodes 4-6). To my surprise after watching A New Hope, there were no "Making of", "behind the scenes" extras! I did the math, if I were to buy the complete saga in blu ray it would've came out to 89.99 plus tax the same price for all six steel books together. Had I read (ugh I'm so dumb but you would think bonus features would be the standard) carefully, I would've bought the blu ray bundle with bonus content.

This movie hooked me from the beginning to the end. What a great cast of characters.

Every Star Wars fan should own the steel book version of their favorite movie!

This is an excellent movie. I would recommend it to anyone who has not seen it.

What more can you say? This is Star Wars and SteelBook makes it even sweeter!

The steel books are an amazing way to collect the whole series.
