The film of the original trilogy that showed Darth Vader’s face. The film that explored Java the Hutt and introduced Ewoks. A great finale to the original trilogy.

This is one of the best restorations I've seen on 4k of an excellent movie. Sadly, this is not the original theatrical version, but still pretty good.

The movie looks great in 4k, though this is the special edition edit of the film it looks crips and stunning in the new 4k master. Highly recommended

This may not be the high point of the series, but still a worthy addition to the saga. The first half is significantly better than the second.

A must have for any Star Wars fan. The picture and sound is fantastic! The differences between this and the Blu ray version are notable and better.

It's Star Wars, and it's 4k. What's not to like? I bought them all, and they all are a cut above the original versions. You won't be disappointed.

Good movie. I took my son, when he was young, to the cinema when they were re-released. Thoroughly enjoyed watching them at home.

Watched this yesterday. Amazing detail and great to have the original trilogy. Wish lucasfilm would out out the original untouched versions too.

Finally, the original series in 4K. If you are like me you will keep buying every new release and enjoy them all over again. I guess 8k is next.

I'm kinda "meh" on the movie itself but this 4K disc is as good as it gets quality-wise. If you love Star Wars this is the version to have.

The now classic, 1983 film that built on the "empire" of George Lucas, is now available in 4K UHD. As pristine as the day it was first shown!

Return of the Jedi, while a reasonably satisfying finale to the original trilogy, does not match the heights of the previous two films. It is pigeon-holed somewhere in the middle: not quite dark and mature enough to match Empire Strikes Back and not free-spirited and original enough to match A New Hope. The tone is more in line with the first film, but after Empire you want them to continue to get more mature and that didn't happen. The main aspects of the plot certainly are fine, but the subplots involving the Ewoks and rescuing Han seem kind of shoe-horned in. Ultimately, it is entertaining and certainly still worth watching, but a mild disappointment because of the high expectations of following Empire.

Awesome movie. Definite Star Wars fan buy. Quality great on this dvd. Way better than blue ray standard. Wish every movie could be 4K.

These transfers seem overly bright and are a bit DNR'd for my liking, probably because they were prepared for the 3D theatrical releases that Disney canceled after they bought Lucasfilm. But they are a big improvement over the previous Blu-rays that were overly dark and seemed to suffer from color encoder issues.

4k looks fantastic. 4k Digital code is an added bonus. one of the few that is absolutely worth a repurchase to 4k.
