So I finally got around to watching this in 4K in April and it sounds and looks great! I do like this movie a lot, not as good as the original three, but I still really liked it.

A must see movie for the whole family and kids. You gotta see it

Amazing new set of movies for this collection! Can’t wait for more!

Although the plot is very similar to "Star Wars: A New Hope", this movie reminds you why you fell in love with Star Wars to begin with. The use of CGI was very limited by the director during production and it really makes a huge difference. It's the action of the original trilogy and the hard work that went into creating a franchise that made everything feel so real from the original trilogy, all updated with Excellent cast of new and old actors that all comes together in a film experience that defied negative expectations set by 1,2,3. This is easily in the top 3 Star Wars movies of all time! The Best Buy Steelbook edition is definitely worth the extra few bucks. Beautiful front and back cover art, great special features.

When JJ Abrams was assigned directorial control over Star Wars: The Force Awakens, he was given one requirement: to make it delightful. Mission accomplished! Yes, the movie has familiar elements especially to the original Star Wars (A New Hope), to the point of near replication. But this heavy homage was his way of recapturing the magic of the original movie (and original trilogy), the magic of which was lost in the prequel trilogy. Spoiler Alert! My favorite delightful moments: (1) "The garbage will do," and (2) when Rey grabs the lightsaber mid-flight. Truly chicken skin moments! I won't review the rest of the movie since it has been done ad nauseam. Suffice to say I loved the movie. Watched it five times in the theaters, and even more times on disc. The extra features were also very insightful, especially with the heavy usage of practical effects. Simply delightful! Can't wait for Episodes 8 and 9.

"The Force Awakens" was a better film than I thought! I went in hoping that Disney wouldn't ruin a good thing, and I was not left disappointed. It was great to see the original cast back in action after so many years. Carrie Fisher, who had been out of acting for quite some time, was also a delight and Harrison Ford is always great to see on screen as well. I thought the writers did a great job with the integration of new characters too. Unlike the prequels, the story plot of "The Force Awakens" was well crafted, and it stayed true to classic Star Wars themes without going too far off base. On that note, word on the street is that a separate "Star Wars" film, titled "Rogue One" will be hitting theatres later this year, with a completely different storyline and cast. So it will be interesting to see how this new film differs from "The Force Awakens" or if it even ties into this film at all.

very good movie whole family enjoyed good price for the movie.

Not much more can be said about this film, that most have not said already. It was truly the fan service that long time Star Wars fans have been waiting for, and I am always spotting more and more 'Easter Eggs' every time I watch it. I opted for the Steelbook edition for the extra features, since like most Star Wars fans, we earn for more and more information and content. They did a phenomenal job on the HD capture, and the movie looks even better than it did in the IMAX theater. This is a no brainer purchase for any Star Wars fan, and I look forward to Rogue One, as well as Episode VIII.

LOVE IT THE CASE IS SO COOL LOVE IT SO MUCH AMAZING

I grew up on these (like everyone else on planet earth) & had my issues with Lucas' digital redux madness when the original three (4-6) were re-issued in the late 90s. But I still really loved seeing them again. I stumbled through episodes 1 & 2, finding some enjoyment as I went. Then episode 3 seemed to click back into the "real" world of Star Wars again. So when it was revealed that J.J. Abrams was taking over the franchise, I breathed a huge sigh of excited relief! I really enjoyed his STAR TREK prequels & SUPER 8, which lay the groundwork significantly. And boy-howdy was I NOT disappointed. I felt like the magic was back in what had become a bloated semi-corpse of pop-cultural iconography. A little bit of plot rehash to bring us back to the Star Wars universe, some familiar story lines AND faces, and some REALLY DYNAMITE SPECIAL FX SPACESHIPS & CREATURES. I can't wait for episode 8.

The return of classic Star Wars for a modern audience.

Star wars the force awakens the blu ray is full of extras including deleted scenes and the making of it and how they made bb8 so plus you even get the DVD with it so on the first blu ray it's only the movie and the 2 disc is the extras so the blu ray set is the one to get if want this film.Awesome movie packaged in a stunning 3d covered collectors edition. Trifold four disk photo covered insert. More than I expected for the price. Delivered on time and in good condition.I own it in 2d and it's great.Got it now in 3d and even better.Don't mind the double purchase....we all tend to waste plenty of money in this lifetime buying silly things that don't last.Two thumbs up, highly recommended.
