Great Steelbook
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The movie itself is great (of course), along with a bonus disk full of special features. The steelbook is great, it goes along nicely with episode I-VI steelbooks, however the others in the series had a character in front, the poster in back, the episode VII steelbook had a character in front and back, no poster. It's a minor detail but I still recommend the line of steelbooks. Hey BestBuy, please release a steelbook of Rogue One and the future star wars movies!

Good movie/Bluray
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. While I find it difficult to review a Starwars film, I can't watch it objectively, I find TFA was enjoyable. Its the right path for a new generation to parallel the original film and sort of "reboot" in a way. All a while taking effects and character influence from both the original and prequel films. I thought the bluray was well presented with plenty of features. I found no problems with video or sound quality, everything seemed as it should be, worth the money.

My first 3d disk
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought some 3d Glasses and this disk as a first try of the home active 3d technology. The 3d feature is as easy to use as I had hoped. I start the disk, then turn on the glasses to get them to register and that's it. It worked from then on. I have to re-register the glasses each time I play the disk. I like the 3d version of the movie better than the 2d. 3d doesn't add to the story, but the depth of the presentation makes viewing more exciting.

Best Blu-ray Fun of the Year
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I don't think I need to get into the movie in this review, but the story connects two generations of Star Wars fans, Old and new, for a lot of fun on screen. Seeing Harrison Ford fly onscreen as one of the greatest film characters is a sight to see again. The bluray itself is a lot of fun with perfect picture and a very exciting sound mix. The special features are very in-depth for any type of fan. This really should a no-brainer, pick it up and enjoy yourself!

Excellent movie for any Star Wars fan
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a good movie for any Star Wars fan. The 3D is okay but does not add significantly tot he overall movie. There is increased depth tot he scenes but not much of the "eye popping" type of 3D. The source transfer is excellent and there is minimal cross talk. The 2D version of the movie is clean and crisp. I would recommend this movie to anyone with a 3D collection as there will be little new content with the UHD4K blurays coming out.

Fantastic!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This movie was fantastic! A great new chapter in the Star Wars library with good characters, practical effects and the stars of the original films. Yes, this has already come out earlier in the year, but if you want more special features and the 3D version you Ned this version; if you don't care then keep your other copy and skip this one. I wish they would have put this one out first but they're going for every last cent you've got; it is Disney right?

WOW, OUTSTANDING IN 3D
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I watched the 2D version , which I purchased first because I , like so many others, wasn't aware this was being released in 3D. If I had known I would have waited. The 3D is wonderful. A must have movie if you are a Star Wars fan in either version. If you have 3D TV this a up there with Avatar , with all the wonderful special effects. I sold my other copy on Ebay and I didn't take much loss. So it all worked out in the end. BUY THIS MOVIE, ANY VERSION !

Derivative, but fun
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As a life-long fan of the series, I eagerly awaited this film. Unfortunately, most of it felt like a rehash of episode four (not terribly incisive, I know, but this was my initial reaction). There's a difference between harking back in nostalgia and merely repeating, and this one erred on the side of the latter. If this is a rehash, I hope that it is setting up a sequel as good as Empire. As a stand-alone piece of entertainment, I thought it was as good as Abrams' Star Trek reboot and better than Into Darkness. I've seen it twice now, and though I'll probably watch it again just before the next one comes out, I'm not drawn towards watching it 25 times like I was when with the first one when I was 12. It's a fine disc. I'm sure if I were 12 again, I'd watch all the extras. Now it will be another fine piece of plastic in my library.

What can I say, Star Wars is BACK!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Having been a fan of Star Wars since before the first movie came out, I was anticipating the latest episode with thrill and more than a little trepidation. It had so much to live up to. Without giving away specifics, it more than met my expectations for success. In parallels to the earlier episodes Awakens brings us home and teases us with trying to figure out where old story lines repeat and where new developments may lead. Way worth watching multiple times.

Great movie, great discs, more extras!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. What can I say about the movie that many have already said? It was a great effort (even though the plot somewhat mirrors Episode IV) and an entertaining experience. The A/V quality on this title is hands-down awesome. Filmed on film, it gives it a movie-like quality, not a sharp video game adventure. Too bad the IMAX scene wasn't opened up (like on Warner's THE DARK KNIGHT Blu-ray). The sound is enveloping and doesn't overpower the vocals. Extras were good, although for a caliber of this movie, I wish there were more. Probably for a future Special Edition. But I can't complain on what is here. I'm also glad that there weren't too many extras for different retailers. Best Buy doesn't have the online extra documentary that another retailer has but that still doesn't prevent me from being miffed at "the bottom line" attitude.

The Best Comeback From Any Franchise
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This film was pretty divisive when it came out. For my part, I adore this film. It's a great re-introduction to the beloved saga, in which new and lovable characters are introduced. And yeah, it might appear almost as "A New Hope", but it is just re-using the Star Wars formula, because IT IS a Star Wars film. Can't completely express how great this film is, but if you like Star Wars, or you want a great intro to the franchise, then please pick this one up.

Star Wars Nerd Always
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Since most everyone has seen the film itself at least once, twice, thrice, or more in the theater. I will comment that the Steelbook with Kylo Ren, Stormtrooper, and inside graphic are a nice touch. As always you can only get certain Movie Releases in 'Limited' formats at Best Buy. Always buy the limited formats on pre-order and get delivery or store pickup, because some folks buy up all the available in-store copies just to sell them online at inflated prices.

Excellent sequel at long last
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Saw the movie in the theater twice, a much better sequel than the prequels trilogy, that paid lots of homage to the originals. The steelbook case's design is great, w/ Kylo Ren on the front and Phasma on the back, and the Millenium TIE fighter chase inside the case. Good extra behind the scene materials, digital copy also included unlike the other SW steelbook releases. This special edition is well worth the price. Better snatch one before it becomes rare later.

Great Star Wars Reboot
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm a much bigger fan of this Star Wars reboot than those prequels with Natalie Portman and Hayden Christensen. This movie definitely has a more diverse cast and I only hope that continues to improve in the series. I liked this plot but t seems to recycle certain elements from before. I was surprised about the casting choice for Kylo Ren as I've only seen him in Girls but I think he's a good fit. For some reason he seems so much bigger in Girls than this movie

A New Generation
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm a longtime Star Wars fan and I was a little worried about this new movie but at the same time, I was excited. This movie was fantastic and I couldn't wait to own it on Blu Ray. The visuals are balanced between live action and CGI which is a good thing when we are still washing our eyes from the disappointment that were the Star Wars prequels. When Best Buy offered the steelbook case, I HAD to have it. It looks great with my Star Wars movie collections.

The New Star Wars
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you are a Star Wars fan this is for you. If you never saw Star Wars it can stand alone but you will miss out on a lot of the movie. It is a decent rendition but doesn't have the same impact as the first Star Wars. The good is that it isn't a redo of an earlier movie. The bad is that it is somewhat week story line with shallow acting. The Cameos are the best part if you are old enough to remember. The hard part is that to appreciate it the most you need to watch the earlier movies ... but it is probably better if this is your first exposure to the Star Wars universe. It is entertaining and maybe it was expectation and over hype which caused my disappointment. Unfortunately it like a lot of the later Star Wars movies is more of an attempt to gain money and perpetuate future movies rather than to express a Great SCI Fi story.

Great movie, great price.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Force Awakens kicks off the new chapter of the Star Wars saga with style. I like the new characters quite a bit and can't wait until the next movie. The only complaint is that this movie continues the current Hollywood trend of trying to make every story a multi-part epic. Each movie should tell a complete story instead of making us wait for answers in subsequent sequels that might not happen. I'm looking at you, Terminator: Genisys and Amazing Spider-Man

Great Movie and Case looks good too
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love the new Star Wars movies (both The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi) and the spin offs. I didn’t watch the original Star Wars films until I was in college right before the release of this movie so I don’t really have nostalgia clouding how I perceive this movie. I thought it had great call backs to the original while setting up new characters and stories. I think it’s a fun movie to watch and I love the actors.

Beautiful Imagery
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As divisive as this film is, there is no mistaking how incredible The Last Jedi looks in 4k HDR. The sound range is big, the colors vivid, the blacks opaque, and every line and microexpression in each characters faces easily discernable. The throne room fight sequence and Luke's meeting of Kylo Ren on the end planet was absolutely fantastic and easily the two standout scenes over the course of the entire movie. Loved it!
