With JJ Abrams on board I felt pretty confident that this would hit and it delivered on those expectations. It does feel at moments very fan fiction-y but it works. Rey and Finn have familiar tropes that they follow but are super engaging throughout. The Blu-Ray/DVD/Digital combo for $14.99 was a steal on release day. Well worth picking up for the film alone but the extras here (they're 'one watchers' but still interesting about the process) are interesting.

Great on my 3d LG TV. The lead of the film is great and it's neat to have diverse leads in a film that can actually act and show emotion unlike the Episode 1 to 3. Finn and Poe had more chemistry in 5 minutes than Anakin and Padme in 3 movies. Probably could have somethings else to blow up in the end though but Disney did pay $4 billion for StarWars so they played that part safe and took a big risk with a woman and minority lead which I love.

1, 2 & 3 were garbage. They literally almost ruined Star Wars for me. My 6 year old was more into 4, 5 & 6 with its outdated look and no CGI than she was into the first three. So when the newest installment came to be I was skeptical, but it has such a sense of nostalgia for the original trilogy I couldn't say anything bad. There are a few dialogue points I could've done without, but overall this movie will go down In history as a classic along with 4, 5 & 6.

perfect picture , great movie really pops on 3d tvs

I saw the movie in the theater last year, and couldn't wait for it to come out on DVD. Great popcorn movie that takes me back to my childhood in the 1970's. With the dvd, I now have the ability to relive the nostalgia at will. This is a fun movie that I recommend for children 10 years old and up, and any adults who still have a little childhood wonder left in them. There are some disturbing scenes involving death, including one popular character.

Good restart to the trilogy. Too bad the next one was Brutal week! This did retread the past, but it did a good job bringing back some of the original trilogy's magic.

This is the Star Wars blu ray release that we've been waiting for. The steelbook is beautiful. Kylo Ren on the front and Captain Phasma on the back. Unlike the Bestbuy steelbooks for the previous movies, with the Force Awakens you get 3 discs (1 dvd, 1 blu ray, 1 extras dvd). Also, a digital copy to take wherever you want. I highly recommend this, especially if you collect steelbooks. Beautiful picture and sound. There's nothing more to really add to this.

As a huge fan of the original trilogy, and a very disappointed fan of the prequel trilogy, The Force Awakens is a great return to good Star Wars. The movie is a fun return to the great Sci Fi that was the original trilogy. Some people don't like the fact that this movie recycles some parts of Episode IV, but I thought that they did a great job with the story, acting, action, and overall production of this movie. If you haven't seen it yet, watch it soon!

The Best Buy exclusive steel book for Star Wars: The Force Awakens is the best packaging for this movie you will find anywhere. It's beautiful design is an excellent addition to any Star Wars fan's collection. Not only do you get the Blu Ray, DVD, and a Digital Copy, but it all comes packaged in this wonderful stew book featuring Kylo Ren on the front, and Captain Phasma on the back. I highly recommend this to anyone who plans on buying The Force Awakens.

The Force Awakens plays it safe, but considering it had a lot riding on its shoulders, it did exactly what it needed to do: it relaunched Star Wars for the next generation, while bringing in new characters to interact with those of old. It's a fun romp with characters you connect with immediately, and while not terribly original, it does an excellent job setting up the next installment in the Star Wars saga and returning glory to the Force.

As a child of the 80s, Star Wars was my bread and butter having watched the original trilogy countless times. With the latest theatrical release, it brings in a new story and set of characters with assistance from classic characters minus the annoyances from the second trilogy (Jarjar Binks). This release gives a great value with the blu-ray and dvd version and the extra features gives great detail of the creation of this title. Strap in for the ride!

I couldn't find a better price than Best Buy's for this package of the newest Star Wars flick, a return to the galaxy far, far away. This was a good deal, with the BluRay disk, the regular DVD (which I can show on my school's older PCs), and a digital copy. What more could you want? I picked up the set on the day of release at my local Best Buy, and I watched the movie (again) that night. Not only is this movie a contemporary classic; it's great fun.

Of course, this version of the bluray contains the 3D disc, which is definitely worth getting if you have a 3D TV as there are lot of good visuals that show the 3D aspect. But it also has a dedicated special features disc, which contains special features like a commentary track and additional deleted scenes that aren't on the regular bluray. Only thing that might be a drawback to some is the packaging, which is thicker than usual (about the thickness of 2 normal blurays) and a little taller than normal (about half an inch compared to a normal bluray). This would make it stand out a bit if on a shelf next to other blurays, but maybe this is desirable to some. Definitely worth getting at the right price if you're a fan of the movie.

I was originally optimistic about seeing Force Awakens. Liked the movies prior a lot but was starting to get a little numb to the series. The introduction of new characters worthy of being successors as well as keeping the older ones there for the handoff made a big difference. Made the move more than just a new chapter. Surprisingly the "Bonus" disc which typically I rarely watch got me a little emotional. Added to my enthusiasm for future episodes.

I always loved the first trilogy but not the prequel. This movie was more like a retro movie which is a great thing. Great acting, story and soundtrack. It was great to see many of the original actors back playing the roles the fans of Star Wars loved watching. The new characters will eventually be loved as well. I prefer to buy both DVD & Blu-Ray. Portable Disc players are mostly DVD so its great when you travel and want to watch some movies.

Video & Audio on this Blu-ray disc are excellent -- no complaints there, and the 'extras' are fun, however... While the film itself achieves its purpose (to bring the fans back into the fold) one has to wonder just how many times do we need to blow up the Death Star? Likewise, while it is fun to see all the familiar characters back in action, EpVII also makes one appreciate just what an ambitious story teller George Lucas really is. Yes, the prequel trilogy (Episodes 1-3) do not work as well as one might hope, it is also clear that Lucas set out a far more interesting and ambitious story line than has JJ Abrams. (Perhaps the remaining episodes, 8 & 9, will give us a deeper story but that remains to be seen.) Again, this is a fun film, so pop some corn and enjoy the ride. May the Force be with you.

I have all the Star War saga. I have I expectations for this Blu-ray track. Visually it is stunning. Watching it on a 130in. Screen sets the tone. Full HD details are jaw dropping. Digital Sound impressed me with loud thunderous bass notes and big fast thumps. The rumbling murmur of being on a Star Destroyer was unexpected. Great experience. A must have for any Home Theater System. Running on Parasound Halo Preprocessor 7.1 with 3 15inch subwoofers.

Great movie, looks amazing on 4k as well. Would recommend.

The main reason I purchased this "Star Wars The Force Awakens" set was the advertised price. This set was priced below what the single Blu-ray disc would cost. This set includes the Blu-ray disc and the DVD disc, but it also offers a digital copy too. After getting it home, I realized this set is perfect for anyone, even the collector of Star Wars memorabilia. I would highly recommend this set to any Star Wars fan for their collection.
