It's an ok star wars movie, the Blu Ray has some great special features though

While there are some great action scenes in this movie, they are overcome for me by the stupidity of some of the others, most notably, "flying Leia." Who knew that the Jedi could survive in the vacuum of space?! Also, (SPOILER) killing-off the main characters of the classic Star Wars trilogy, first in The Force Awakens, and continuing in this episode (plus the unfortunate real-world loss of Carrie Fisher), and turning Luke into a wild-eyed (attempted) killer of his own nephew is a definite turn-off for me and many fans.

Special effects are fantastic. A must have for your Star Wars movie collection

Too many political messages, a poorly crafted story with missing essential details and lots of unnecessary ones, and a striking departure from the past Star Wars lore and story. Of course the visuals and effects are great, but cannot make up for the weak story and incredibly forced message of toxic masculinity.

I’m writing this review to warn others that there may be a weak link somewhere in Best Buy’s shipping chain. I ordered this and Rise of Skywalker to complete my collection of all of the Star Wars films in 4K. All ten of the films in the series besides this one came with a slip cover. I know it sounds like a minor issue and I suppose it is but I am collecting them all and would like a sense of symmetry. This isn’t the bigger issue. I’ll eventually find one on eBay. The more egregious sin and the unforgivable one is the fact this was also delivered without shrink wrap on the packaging. I repeat. The package was delivered opened. Then came the really bad news. I attempted to redeem the digital copy included and the code had already been used. Essentially my complaint is that someone opened my movie, took out their phone and redeemed the digital copy that I paid for. I am feeling a little robbed.

Ok. Probably the worst movie of the new series, but still a decent movie.

4K: Good HDR: Good Movie: good movie, but the 4K & HDR are appear sub-par up until the end of the movie.

In my opinion, The last Jedi was a disappointment. Not to give any spoilers away. I'll just say, it seem when JJ Abrams was a the helm of The Force Awakens, it gave us Jedi wanna bee's A last Hope. ( No pun lol). But with the Last Jedi it felt like the studio saw the success from the force awakens and rushed this movie.

The DVD is totally fine, I'm giving it three stars because I'm not a fan of the movie!

It's a Star wars movie, so I had to get it. Parts of the movie are great, other parts make no sense.

Ao many people loved this mivie and im just nit sure what i am missing. Force Awakens was so much better.

I'm a Star Wars fan grew up with it and honestly this movie was just OK disney needs to step it up

The next movie was okay. It did move slower than expected. It will be interesting to see the next movie.

bought the blu ray for my grandson to watch although he is not much of a star wars fan and neither am i.

My kids saw this movie in theaters and loved it. This was purchased as a Christmas gift for them.

While the story is ok and special effects great, direction and acting were lacking.

I won't say it's a bad movie just not a good one. The steelbook is really nice though design wise.

Let me begin with the 4K copy review: I honestly couldn’t see much difference in the 4K and what I’ve seen in regular Blu-ray. Maybe it’s just this particular movie but the Wow Factor really wasn’t there, and I watched it on my five month old 4K HDR LG tv using my new LG 4K DVD player. As for the movie... I’m very disappointed with what Disney has done to the franchise, from expecting us to believe in bombers in space (Hello! No gravity!) to traveling in open space with no suit or oxygen or anything, I mean come on. Even in sci-fi there are rules. I was hoping that they would improve upon SW7 but they didn’t as far as I’m concerned. What a pity.

Good Blu-ray,but marginal as a 4k release. Sound is good. Picture quality is only better on closeups.

I bought it because it was Star Wars and I wanted to see it. Not impressed with the story line.
