Some great special effects but after rewatching the movie i realized How awful it really was. Understand they are setting up for the future but this movie really is truly a huge mistake of course anything w Star Wars in the title will be successful this is exactly what happened here. Awful movie

Pretentious, vindictive, out to get the audience? No, that is not the villain cast in the film, but rather the entire production surrounding it from the director on down. If this were a standalone film, it would be a decent art house like romp, but for a pivotal middle film, such as Empire Strikes Back, this is everything wrong with destroying theories and plot, leaving no room for excitement with any sort of cliffhanger setting up the finale to fail. Been a Star Wars fan for over 35 years, and for the first time, I have been turned off to the entire franchise. Help me Obi Wan Kenobi series with the production of Favreau (The Madalorian) and Filoni (SW: Rebels). You're our only hope.

NOT NEARLY AS GOOD OR WELL DONE AS THE EARLIER STAR WARS MOVIES

Good movie for the most part. Not the best but looks great.

Good movie but had potential to be even better or the best.

The transfer of this movie is sub par, and not at all of the quality one would expect from such a blockbuster installment in the Star Wars cinematic universe. HDR is barely noticeable, and levels of grain are comparable to that of the 1080p Blu-ray release on my 75"Samsung UHD. To as insult to injury, the overall story and dialogue are sub standard, and not worthy of the accolades heaped upon it for simply being a movie with a title that contains the words 'Star' and 'Wars' If you just see it, rent it or stream it.
