Good movie special effects are awesome Star Wars does not disappoint

I'm a huge Star Wars fan and not just of the movies. I've read many of the post Jedi books which are now "legends", played many games and just all around invested in Star Wars lore. Watching this movie for the first time was legitimately hard for me because Rian Johnson broke all standard concerning Star Wars and at first I thought he crapped over my believed franchise. Over subsequent viewings my feelings have eased up a bit and overall I think it is a decent movie. I still don't like that Johnson just took JJ's ideas and just threw then out because he didn't like them. In my opinion, work with what you got but what do I know. I don't like Disney switching directors each movie because to me they didn't even have an overall storyline outlined for this Trilogy. Just flying by the seat of their pants and I think turning many Star Wars fans off. Hopefully they rebound in episode 9 but we'll see I guess.

The movie: I will always love Star Wars. From an objective standpoint of the cinematography, the writing, and to a slightly lesser extent the acting, this was a good movie. From a Star Wars standpoint, however, I admit I was a bit disappointed with the “Disney” direction this film took as a departure from the more gritty feel of TFA and Rogue One. 7/10 The steelbook: Again, from an objective standpoint it’s a pretty and colorful steelbook worthy of addition to collections. I only wish it matched the previously released Star Wars steelbooks (focus on a single character’s close up). This one now stands out rather obviously amongst the other seven (if you don’t count Rogue One). Ultimately, if you like how the steelbook looks, you like the movie or think you might like it if you haven’t seen it, you’re a fan of Star Wars, or any combination of the aforementioned reasons, this is worth a pick up.
