If you liked the last Star Wars film, be prepared to have everything great about it, and every single mystery and interesting element to literally be thrown away. With this new Star Wars it is clear that Rian Johnson, who took over for JJ Abrams from The Force Awakens, was not interested in making a sequel, but making his own film. His ego is on full display here, and so are his political and ideological beliefs. With very in your face pandering, poorly written and flat-out needless new characters, and changes to previous loveable characters that leave them unrecognizable and contradictory to what they were initially portrayed to be, this film is horrible, and doesn't even feel like a Star Wars. There are plotholes galore, and again, seemingly endless politics that are meant to connect this fantasy film with today's political climate, serving as a mouthpiece for the director's own beliefs.

Exceeded all expectations -- both a whip-smart commentary on and loving celebration of the long-running series. Great stuff.

This movie was a step in a different direction. We got some great new characters and some twists. It was not a redo of Empire.

Everything about this movie goes against what made Star Wars great. I sat through it and came out of it thinking, "hmm, I think that was a good movie" and the more and more I thought about it the more I hated it. It's insulting to the franchise and the characters we grew up with. It is absolutely gorgeous, with some of the best cinematography around, but that doesn't stop the story from being nonsensical, the rules of the world being broken left and right, characters acting completely at odds with their stories, and the director shoehorning his own morality at us. I hate this movie, and I think the biggest jab I can throw at it is it makes the prequels look like infinitely better Star Wars movies, and I would watch them 1000 times before sitting through this insult again.

This movie is a blast. Continues the tradition of a solid experience with a large dose of fanboy salt!

Rian Johnson really messed up what could have been a great conclusion to the the force awakens and the skywalker saga. So many crappy characters in this and the script just sucked. Not sure how this got green lit. This is the only star wars movie that I don't have in my collection. Even if it was $5 I wouldn't pick this one up.

This movie was good I loved it. If I didn't It would not be an addition to my collection.

Boring. Story line has very little content next to the older ones. Actors did not act well and were not convincing. Visually it was great. That was the only good. This could not hold a candle to the rest. I wish I had not purchased it at this high of a price. This should have cost less than $10. When the next comes out I will be waiting until it has been out for more than a year. Maybe then the price will be worth it. Disney ruined it.

Great addition to the Star Wars franchise. I would recommend it to anyone who has not seen it.

Overall, I enjoyed this movie. The only part I didn't care for was the casino sequence.

Disney did a great job with the video and audio in this release. Too bad the movie wasn't that good. Enjoyed The Force Awakens alot more. Lets hope Abrams comes back strong and does Episode 9 some justice. Not looking forward to Disney's plan of having Rian Johnson do the next trilogy (same guy who directed Last Jedi).
