Different but amazing! Can’t wait to watch it over and over!

Great movie glad to finally own this on Blu-ray love it

Cant wait to add this to my star wars movies collection.

Ordered the 4K version online. 4K disc would not play. The disc read 4K and HDR but then would only go the home page on my player. Returned it to the Appleton East store, exchanged it for another copy. When I got home and put it in my player had the same result. Returned the second copy and was told they would not refund my money, all I could do do was exchange it for another copy of the same thing. WHAT A DEAL!! I tried a half dozen other 4K discs on my player and they all played no problem so the defect has to be with the disc. DO NOT BUY THIS MOVIE IN 4K, IT WILL NOT WORK. BEST BUY IS DEAD TO ME!!!

Seeing this at midnight, after which I thought it was great. After a few more viewings it went from great to truly seeing the flaws in the many loopholes of this movie and the badly written film itself. Honestly I’m a little upset at how bad this was. Not the biggest Star Wars fan, but just not good honestly. Could have been much better! I like they took some more risks with the film but it never payed off in the end. As for the 4K copy of this film, it doesn’t quite pop the way other films do and disappointed in the picture quality as it doesn’t look any different than the Blu Ray copy.

Never mind it’s just Rian Johnson... who delivers a poorly written, poorly edited, chaotic mess of a Star Wars movie. It’s truly worse than the prequels, which is amazingly hard to comprehend. Even Jar Jar Binks is like “whawo Annie, messa thinka thisa all wronnga “.

Definitely see some haters giving out a bunch of 1-star reviews, and it doesn't deserve it. If you open your mind to what Star Wars can evolve into, instead of what you thought it would be, you will like this.

What a disappointing movie. It almost plays like a parody of Star Wars, with your momma jokes, poorly timed comic relief and plot lines that really don't go anywhere. Good action and special effects, but the actual story is full of plot holes and seems to be more focused on doing something unexpected over worrying about if that unexpected twist makes any sense in the context of the story. Basically every story line that A Force Awakens hints as being important, TLJ decided was meaningless. They manage to make major character deaths have no emotional resonance at all because the characters are so changed that they I was glad to see this film's version of them go away.

The question is who are you going to believe ? Disney or actual fans? The film is so bad people who have never given reviews on films before have taken to social media outlets to review this film ! THIS FILM IS AN INSULT TO ANYONE WITH ABOVE AVERAGE OR AVERAGE INTELLIGENCE ! The film is boring, pointless, disturbing, embarrassing & riddled with flat lame jokes! People need to ask themselves are they one seeing the Jedi mind-trick being played or are they the ones being played by the Jedi mind-trick !

They managed to take everything that made Star Wars great and completely destroyed it! I have NO interest in any of these characters and I can't care any less what happens next or who does what. Way to ruin the biggest franchise in movie history. I am never going back!

The first time around the movie is an absolute mess. The second time it's better. A lot of that is because I was wrapping my head around the previous unexpected plot twist while trying to follow the current plot twist. In the end this is nothing like the original 6 SW movies, Harry Potter or LOTR. You just not going to find that deep engaging family based story. The Last Jedi is more like a story for a 13-year girl.

Overall this is a fantastic release with a couple hours worth of bonus features, unfortunately the movie itself isn't too great.

When you are given the opportunity to direct a Star Wars film, you are given a $1 billion opportunity. The story of this movie is enough for me to give it 3 stars. But the poor writing is poor enough to make the prequels look much better and bring the overall score back down to a 1. There were way too many attempts at poor humor and typically at all the wrong times. They made Luke to look more like a jerk and idiot than a Jedi legend. I get that they need to shift the focus to the new cast but they could have spent more time dealing with the old. This is, in my opinion, the worst Star Wars movie thus far and had the capability to be the best had they not been so lazy and sloppy with the script. For the record to see I'm not one of those who can't like the new Star Wars movies, I actually did enjoy The Force Awakens and I really enjoyed Rogue One. I'm not nostalgic beyond the point of accepting change but I cannot accept what they've done here. The only reason I give this a "recommend to a friend" because the story needs to be told but I'd remind my friend to look past the horrific writing.

Kylo Ren just isn't giving off a good enough vibe to be the key starwars villain. disappointing but for SW fans still worth a watch, Finns character is also way to cheesy

The movie is bad on multiple levels. The two worst are just plain old movie making, and the destruction of the Star Wars mythology. Just badly edited, written, acted, and directed. It did look pretty though.

Where to begin? This movie is a total mess that mishandles the characters, forgets basic plot lines from past movies, and is generally terrible and boring. Skip this or you'll regret the 2.5 hours of your life you will never get back. It's a dumpster fire.

I won't even go into a long rambling detailed explanation of why this movie isn't worth seeing. The reasons are exceedingly simple; bad dialogue, slow pace, overly saturated with gushy political correctness and social commentary, and the plot was utterly atrocious. Don't even care to see 9 now.

Terrible movie, destroys characters, many plot holes, and slapstick humor. Sadly Star Wars will die over the next few years because of this. This is more like Spaceballs 2, it's a pointless low speed chase. Ruins everything that was set up in Episode 7.

As a life long fan, I can say that this movie in particular took a hopeful, inspirational epic and turned it on its head. It's not really "Star Wars" and as a basic movie, it also fails dramatically in plot and character development. "
