Love it or Hate it
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this film....alot of peple hated it. You'll ever love it or hate it, i felel the older star wars fans meaning above the age of lets say 45 or 50 don't like it. Now that is a generalization, but out of my friends that are star wars fans that the consensus. I am 37 and a ENORMOUS star wars fan. been watching since i was 3 I recommend this to any person who is open minded and is not looking for the original trilogy regurgitated back on the screen. If you didn't like it fine, your welcome to your opinion just like me, so no need to comment on my comment, just my personal experience in my review

It's the Wars man!
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I know that not everyone loved, or even liked, this movie. I know there are plot, device, and logic holes you could fly a YT-1300 freighter through. I know some of the writing and acting was extremely subpar. I don't care. We are only going to get so many new Star Wars films in our lifetime. I have my old expanded universe comics and novels. I just look at this as being something along the lines of a Marvel "What If?" comic and try to enjoy it for what it is. Entertainment in the galaxy I have loved ever since I was 5.

Great blu-ray, reference quality 4K
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It is Star Wars, so I won't comment on the content. What I will say is the blu-ray presentation is exceptional, but then the 4k is absolutely stunning in another league, watching it immediately afterwards. The blu-ray's DTS 7.1 and the 4K's Dolby Atmos soundtracks are also reference quality. As a Star Wars fan or someone who appreciates superb video and audio, spend extra for the 4K version. Even if you don't have a 4K system right now, enjoy the excellent blue-ray presentation until you are able to upgrade to 4K. And then use this reference disk to show off your new system.

Star Wars - be careful
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The SW franchise had better be careful. This film begins to make the first three films back in the 70's and 80's almost meaning less in the hope of the Force. Oh well lets see what happens with Episode 9

Excellent edition of polarizing film.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. There certainly hasn’t been a more polarizing Star Wars film than the Last Jedi. I have issues with it, but also find sequences and set pieces I love. Time will make the ultimate judge of this film. The steelbook Edition itself is great, nice, embossed artwork that will look nice by itself or with the other steelbook releases of SW films. The making of documentary on be disc is really great, and doesn’t feel like the slick corporate sell job the bonus material on TFA and RO felt like. It’s definitely the best SW making of price since the Beginning documentary found on the original Phantom Menace dvd.

Great Star Wars film
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This film gets a great deal of negative attention from Star Wars fans, and I feel that's not warranted. While there is one section of the movie I feel could be omitted, it's a great addition to the overall saga. I like the acting and storyline. I don't want to add any spoilers, but I found the film to be exciting with a good amount of humor added to the mix. As for the media itself, the 4K UHD presentation looks wonderful. For certain films, it's worth it for me to get the disc, since 4K streaming still does suffer when compared to physical media.

A 4k addition to Star Wars.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The design and art of the steelbook is very dynamic looking, like a poster. I would say if you are into collector's items that have a really neat look, then I would suggest this item. The steelbook for this film houses both the 4k disc and original Blu-Ray disc, along with an extras Blu-Ray. The 4k picture looks great and the action looked smooth with the refresh rate. Purchasing this ninth episode will not disappoint fans of Star Wars and action movies in general. If you want to try out your brand new 4k set, try this 4k Blu-Ray disc version of Star Wars.

Awesome Film Great Transfer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’m not gonna get into the plot details as there’s enough trolls on here who hate the film and others who join in to feel included. I quite enjoy this Star Wars movie and watching this 4K disc was really nice. Some have said the HDR is too subtle but honestly overused HDR looks as strange as TruMotion in a different way. This was shot mostly on film and the level of detail and grain as well as the color palette and saturation was very filmic and beautiful. It makes the Original Trilogy Blu Ray discs look like VHS. Here’s hoping they get a 4K restoration soon.

Loved the movie, but it's polarizing
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Some people love it, some people hate it. I can understand why some aren't fond of the movie, but to me and my family, we loved it and felt it was worth the expense at the theater and for the 4k Blu-ray player. As far as 4k movies go, this one is an excellent watch on my Samsung KS8000. If you loved the movie, the 4k is worth it if you have a proper 4k setup. If you haven't watched the movie, rent it first and make sure you liked the movie before buying, as like I said, you will probably either love it or hate it. But at least give it a watch first and make your own decision.

Not the film the Trolls want you believe it is!!!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Last Jedi, although not done by JJ, does a good job of continuing the story started in The Force Awakens. Although any Star Wars film will somehow be compared to the original trilogy, this film, when watched as part of the new trilogy, stands up as well as any. It has the same formula that has endeared those of us that are fans of the franchise, and even includes (Spoiler Alert) a flying Leia. As with any Star Wars film, just enjoy it. Isn't that what movies really are all about!!!!!!!!!!!

Good Classic.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The last Jedi is a decent movie. A solid 4. The last Jedi continues where left off from a force Awakening, each character has a story of Their Own and shows what they need to do to fight back. I don't want to give the story away but the visual and color is Amazing!!! The cinematography is outstanding the background and scenery is perfect each color stands out on its own, But! The audio is lacking. For some reason Disney audio isn't the best, on my Home Theater Receiver the sound is mundane and flat, for a star war movie the sound should be in your face all around but it isn't.

Great movie, amazing picture and sound
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Couldn’t watched it on big screen so I bought it on day 1 as I am a Star Wars fan :) you may or may not like the story, but I really loved it. Plus it is the first Star Wars movie released in 4K HDR, and I have to admit it looks amazing. My TV doesn’t do Dolby Vision but I have been impressed by the clarity of the pictures, the details and the colors. I do have a dolby atmos 5.1.2 setup and the sound is so immersive. Great movie great release! I hope other Star Wars movies will come sooner or later in 4K HDR and Dolby Atmos too.

Meh... It's ok I guess
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This movie was quite disappointing after how much I enjoyed The Force Awakens. Really could have gone without a lot of it. Did have one of the best fight scenes in Star Wars though.

a good ending for a back and forth climax
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am not a die hard star wars fan but I did enjoy the original 3, and for the most part, liked the 'prequels'. I have not read any of the books but only know that there are a lot of them! I watched the Force Awakens and actually had quite a few questions about who was who and what not, but in this movie, the Last Jedi, I think all of my questions were answered. I don't wish to spoil it as there are quite a few plot twists, but if you have seen the original 3 and the prequels, I would definitely recommend watching Force Awakens and the Last Jedi

I respect the creative direction...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Many people are divided over this film and I understand why. I will start by saying that while I really enjoyed the film and think it was great (I’m giving it a 5) there were some choices made about the direction of the series that I myself probably would not have made. That said, I have the utmost respect for these creative license the director took and am very happy they did not play it safe. No spoilers here but I believe that ppl will soften their stance on as it ages. Recommend (but watch the others first!)

I think I'm in the minority.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is easily my favorite Star Wars movie to date. I think I am in the minority when I say this. Empire first viewing is better then this but multiple viewings this wins. This was everything I didn't know I wanted out of the new Star Wars. The only downfall I feel is that the side stories have a lot of build up and take quite a bit of time away from the main plot and offer almost no pay out. You invest in the side happenings and it almost feels like you were duped. Other then that it is just absolutely fantastic.

Good Sound and Visual Quality!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not my favorite Star Wars movie, but not my most hated either. I will leave my feelings on the content out and just review the Blu-Ray itself. The sound is amazing! It puts my surround sound through its paces and fills every corner of the room with some great orchestral mood setting music as well as really great sound effects! The visual quality is excellent and the special effects are state of the art as you would expect with any Star Wars movie! I give the basics for the Blu-Ray 5 stars for bringing a great disc to us.

I was not a fan of TFA
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I did not like the first installment of JJ’s trilogy. I don’t even own it. This film, while there are parts that are absolutely horrible, really intrigued me and I have been waiting to see it again. I bought the steelbook since I collect steelbooks and it is a very nice steelbook. I enjoyed the film a little more with the second viewing. I think the storyline with Kylo and Rey is very interesting. I am not holding out for a satisfying third film, but what they did produce in this film is fun on a large screen tv with some popcorn and pop.

Great movie - Star Wars doesn't disappoint
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Star Wars: The Last Jedi is one of the better Star Wars movies, much much better than any of the prequel trilogy films, but not on the level of A New Hope / The Empire Strikes Back (can anything REALLY be on THAT level). The movie essentially picks up right where The Force Awakens: Rey and Luke on Ahch-To and the Resistance facing off with the First Order. We fortunately get to hear more from Luke in this film, and Rey and Kylo Ren have some good moments. Pick up your copy (you know you will if you own all the other films) and enjoy!

Re-hash of episode V
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Hero gets mentored by wise Jedi master, while the good guys flea from the bad guys. And Yoda makes an appearance. Am I describing episode V or episode VII? C) All the above.
