I’m going to review the disc, not the film. And the disc is incredible. The movie was shot on film and was finished in 4K so this is the real deal. Looks and sounds brilliant. A nice serving of special features (including a very enjoyable director’s commentary). And the steelbook is very very nice. You’ve seen the movie so you know how you feel about it. If you like it then this package is the best option on the market.

I guess I'm in the minority for people who love steelbooks and love seeing some of these old school characters story continue. I liked the movie, it was fun and best of all the finally included Luke as a main character and not the last 2mins of the movie. Seeing the old faces and new was great and I'm glad we get a chance to continue the Star Wars stories. The steelbook looks amazing and it's surprising it hasn't sold out.

I don't care what some have said about the new Star Wars movies. I love this one and the others Is buying 4K movies worth the price? I think so! I bought this along with my 4k player. I know that the Xbox s has a 4k playback feature to it, but I didn't care for how the 4K movies looked on it. I really enjoyed the picture quality and the movie. As always Buy, buy, buy

I popped this disc into my player immediately after purchasing it and was disappointed by the muted colors. It just didn’t pop. Then I upgraded the firmware of my Sony A1E OLED TV and Oppo UDP-205 UHD Blu-ray. This brought my gear up to date with Dolby Vision. So, I tried again...and, WOW! Dolby Vision makes all the difference. That epic scene at the end of the film looks spectacular. Oh! And I like the movie, too.

OK, so it's not the best Star Wars movie, but I don't think it's trash as many folks seem to say. Then again, everyone is entitled to an opinion. In my view, it is not up to the expected Star Wars "standard of excellence," but given how long the franchise has been providing exciting adventure, it's a challenge to hit a home run every time. That said, it's still a worthy movie, and watching it in 4K Ultra makes the experience even better.

I bought this movie only to continue my Star Wars collection...it was pretty disappointing. Leia flying through space? Seriously?

I didn't have a bluray player at the time of purchase so grabbed this DVD version instead. Picture quality is great for what it is. As for the movie itself, there were parts that felt out of place and not really expanded on. I've also not kept up with all the literature and spin-offs so that may be why several scenes left me asking "okay but why...?" Overall this movie is enjoyable and I look forward to the inevitable sequel.

This movie was not what I was expecting when I first saw it in theaters, but it’s a wonderful Star Wars film, nonetheless. Not only is it a visually-striking film, but it also moves the Star Wars movies forward in a lot of ways. I recommend watching the movie with an open mind. As far as I can tell, the people who hate this film watched the movie with certain expectations as to what a “real” Star Wars film is like.

Just adding another movie, at a lower price, to the collection. Just waited for the price to drop and scooped it up.

I guess I'm in the minority that actually loved this movie. I enjoy watching movies to just turn the world off and decompress. I enjoy watching old characters stories continue even though it might not always be the most faithful story line or even original idea. This movie is amazing and I'm glad you at least get to see the old characters and how they have changed over almost 40yrs. I look forward to the next one.

Although a continuation of the storyline that I fell in love with as a kid, I sincerely wish the studios would spend a little more time focusing on the story line and dialog instead of spending the main part of their budget on the special affects. Still a movie worth watching I just remember when the main focus was on the storyline and truly developing the characters without the extra explosions to prop up the story.

I have always enjoyed the STAR WARS franchise, and this movie was no exception...in my opinion. I simply do not understand the fan backlash against it or the new characters introduced herein. Sadly, this movie now serves as a memorial for both the character of Princess Leia Organa and the actor who breathed life into her, Carrie Fisher. Become one with The Force, Princess! Rest in Peace, Ms. Fisher!

The Steelbook is nice and there are special features on its own disk which is cool. The presentation is nice so I cant be rude about it and bash it like the mainstream. lol As far as the actual movie goes; I enjoyed it even with all its flaws. But I like the prequels so Im too real about my review to fit in:)

Understanding that this was to be the last Star Wars film of the trilogy, I would expect it be an epic film. Epic as in "Lord of the Rings: Return of the King" epic if you know what I mean. Though this film is entertaining, it just wasn't "epic" enough for my taste. However, if you are a Star Wars fan you have to see it!! It still has some great scenes for die hard fans.

So, since Disney took over Lucasfilm, they have changed things up a bit and I would MUCH rather the movies were still made by George Lucas himself, but on the other hand, Disney is cranking out a new Star Wars film EVERY year! For those of us that are fans, this is great! Admittedly, the story could be a bit better and more true to what Lucas intended, but they are still fun and I would still recommend it.

Okay episode for the franchise. Got it at a reasonable price but the franchise is "loosing steam" with their story lines.

If you're one of the holiday shoppers lucky enough to have found a BB deal on a new HDTV this is one of the best to use to showoff for friends. Of course the 4K version will be a step up I had no problem settling into the world of Star Wars Episode 8. Excellent picture and audio wash over you. Whether you like the story or not it's disc authoring of this quality that makes home theater so fun.

I am so happy that Best Buy continues to release a steelbook edition for the Star Wars movies. I am a big fan of collectible steelbooks; although, I wish The Last Jedi steelbook image was of only one character like how the other main entry steelbook cases were. As for the movie itself, I felt it was a great movie with more moments of action and laughs than Episode VII. I am very satisfied with my purchase!

All this is really is a re-release to coincide with the new style of packaging for Star Wars with a digital code.

I am a HUGE Star Wars fan. I was a little disappointed with Episode 7 so I was concerned I wouldn't like this one either, but boy was I wrong! This movie is fantastic. I love it so much. Great story, great acting, great effects, etc. There is nothing bad I would say about this movie. They did a really great job here. There was so much action and emotion and excitement. I am definitely watching this again.
