In my childhood Star Wars was born, but I wasn't exposed to Star Wars till my early adulthood. I was always a Star Trek fan since my single digits. I developed a deeply seated appreciation for the characters of Star Trek, their mature moral values and way of relating. So I understand the feeling many Star Wars fans from childhood have about this movie. If they could only let this movie be what it is and let it stand on it's own then maybe they too could appreciate it as much as myself and others. There seems to be some valid wisdom conveyed in this story. I can tolerate political correctness as long as they aren't being puritans about it. Yes, we have a 21st century puritanism with 21st century stockades. But this movie is fine.

Sad to see Princess Leia past in real life but still a hit movie...

This movie had some good and bad but the fight scenes were awesome.

The Last Jedi is the latest edition to cause major controversy among Star Wars fans. If you're not a "purest" and you're okay with your Star Wars introducing new characters in new adventures, then you'll enjoy The Last Jedi. Luke Skywalker is old and bitter. He has decided that the Force can't be balanced and that the Galaxy is better off without the Jedi. It's up to Rey to convince him otherwise and help the Resistance defeat the growing First Order. Rian Johnston's script is creative and imaginative. The Last Jedi dispels any preconceived notions you may have about Star Wars while keeping the audience engaged. Shot on hi-def digital, the amazing cinematography blends flawlessly with the CGI. A must-have for true fans. Casual fans may want to rent or catch it on Netflix before buying.
