In an age where digital singles often reign supreme, The Weeknd has still managed to deliver a classic album in which each record holds its own, but is also an intricate chapter of a larger story perhaps best enjoyed in sequence. Lyrically, he is still searching for meaning, but the package arrives with a creative polish that skillfully aims towards more than the target he hit so precisely with his Trilogy. With his previous album (and the dozens of accompanying performances), The Weeknd proved that there is indeed beauty behind his madness and impressively - he is still brave enough to give much of his music away for free and is still good enough to be paid anyways. Quite shy in years past, Tesfaye finally opens up just long enough to briefly drop the falsetto and share more of his vocal range range - to impressive results. The eerie electronic pop-funk fits well with the 80's sci-fi aesthetic and is both highly emotional and surprisingly fun. Previous comparison to Michael Jackson has been a stretch, but with the soulful pep of "I Feel It Comin', The Weeknd has truly earned it. Abel continues to dominate vocally making cameos mostly unnecessary and though his sound has grown much more radio friendly, he will need to outgrow his gritty, drug obsessed explicit lyrics if he truly wants to take over the world. If the album doesn't capture your imagination, several singles surely will. The Weeknd may have a way to go if he wants to be the new King of Pop, but he certainly is a Starboy.

The first time I put it in the player I listened to entire CD. I was surprised that I liked the majority of the tracks on the first listen. Too many times I buy a CD and lucky if a like a few tracks. Glad I bought it.

This album is full of good beats and naughty lyrics good to get party ready or for driving in the car. Don’t look for any deeper meaning in the lyrics. For the most part it’s all ses ”drums” and rock and roll.

She got a new car and wanted a CD to play. Really only play the first song and that's it. But I believe in hard copy more than anything.

Abel has a variety of music on this album . More laid back this time.

One of his best albums. A must own for hip hop and R & B fans.

This album is just amazing!! All songs are a must hear!!! However the only reason I don't rate this a 5 stars is due to the lack of lyrics on the face cover booklet. Instead it is filled with lots of pictures which are not bad either. Just depends what you're buying the CD for rather than buying the downloadable version.

I was a fan of the first album and think this is a pretty good follow up. There are still a lot of catchy songs and heavy beats. I just found that there weren't quite as many great songs that really stand out like the first one. If you liked his first album then you should enjoy this as well

the CD is great. I was looking forward to this for a long time. Getting the CD was a scavenger hunt and they had them all in the back room.

The weeknd proves exactly why he has become one of the biggest names in music. Expanding his audience with dance music but still coming with the hitters on "reminder" and "6 feet under. Don't expect his deep and dark style on this one.

I love his music...I just wish there was a clean version to buy, I don't like to hear the n-word in a song and the f-word really isn't necessary so I skip those songs. Overall I really like it and have listened for hours.

A year later & I still love this album. The only problem I have is that another store had the exclusive bonus track which only they sold, so I ended up returning the one I bought from Best Buy.

I'm a fan of The Weeknd. I find him to be a very authentic and talented artist. I also like this latest CD of his. If you're a fan of true artistry, give it a listen.

Great Album! Fell in love with half of it. Was a little spectacle about The Weeknd making too much pop music, but I'm glad to say I was not disappointed.

Herd the starboy song on the radio, really liked it so found the cd and wanted to buy it. Mostly for the first song but i like most of them on there.

Good cd if you like this kind of music. I didn't know all the songs, but ended up liking all of them after listening to the whole cd a few times.

Lots of good songs on this one. There are many songs other than the 2 or 3 you know that get airplay. You'll be playing it over and over.

I like the cd. Has a few curse words so not appropriate for the children. It's a good one with lots of songs and I like the variety.
