This is an excellent game. I have had it since it was released and play it often. The AI is challenging. Personally, I did not pay much mind to the story and skipped many parts of it but I understand that it was really good, especially if you were a big fan of the first. The price has gone down a lot since I got it so its a great buy. I plan on getting the Swarm and recommend that you do the same if you are getting this.

With updated graphics, mechanics and special attention to the campaign, Wings of Liberty is a good sequel to it's predecessor, but I do find that the game does get a little boring after replaying the campaign and the multiplayer several times.

I'm going to write a review, even though this game isn't coming out till December. i know it's going to be a killer game. Absolutely can not wait for this one. Looks so good from the gameplay previews and features on the website. Can't wait! One thing i'm concerned about is whether or not the game will stay as balanced as the originals. I'm sure Blizzard will make it happen though. Once again, can not wait.

Many peeps have been waiting 12 years for this game, and now in 7/27/10, the wait is over! Many changes went through with the beta and it's official, the game has gotten popular again. I have SC1 and I know the story line. If you do not have SC1 or played its campaign, I would not recommend playing it in SC2. However you can play it to learn about the new StarCraft. Playing online and making maps will be very popular. I would find a way to get a signal in the house to get online if you don't already or you'll be left in the dirt. If you are new to SC1&2: Play three different races of your choice. Zerg: Exoskeleton slimy creatures that mutate into other things (Fast builders, cheap builders, and weak units). Terran: Humans in robots that come from the high tech buildings (Regular speed builders, reasonable price builders, and regularly armored) Protoss: Alien like creatures that have outstanding structures and gain sheilds (Expensive builders, slow builders, and strong units) GOOD LUCK!!

Starcraft 2 is an excellent game. It has a great story line. Registered it on battle net and it works well. Nice

This is the best RTS game i have ever played. bliz really did a great job "upgrading" broodwar. And i dont think its overpriced. Think of all the custom games you can play and the campaign which is super fun. You guys should really ignore all those negative comments about the game. And btw this is one of the most popular games around the world.

Several people have been waiting for SC2 for a long time. With that, it had high expectations. I believe Blizzard delivered on them. The campaign is fun and has an interesting storyline. Blizzard's ladder and matchmaking systems are excellent during online play. There is all kinds of competition online, but you always play someone close to your skill level. This game is well done, and for forty dollars, well priced.

I loved the original one, and this one did not disappoint! Very fun!

The graphics in StarCraft 2 are so much better than the first StarCraft, The Story line is way better and its so much more fun to play. I cant wait for the full version to come out.

I can't wait for this game to come out. I am an owner of starcraft and starcraft brood war and I love them. Starcraft is an age of empires type game, but it is much better than all the other real time games. Each species is completely differnent and each species has its weaknesses and strengths. There is a sort of zen in between the three species that balances the game perfectly. Hopefully this zen will still be in starcraft 2 and hopefully it will have been enhanced with more units. Also, starcraft is and old game so the graphics will be increased greatly. I would definitely recommend this game to anybody who like strategy. Have fun strategy game lovers.

I love this series and this game doesn't disappoint. The gameplay is great. The graphics are great. The story is great. I really enjoyed this game.

This is the most awaited PC games this winter, This game bit all strategy games in the market. No dull moment spend on the games. You always on your toes. This GAME ROCK !!!!! Buliding are easy and challenging, more choices of resources, diff. type of new figthing elements. Graphics are marvelous!!!. So thats why people the company is extending the release date of this product because they want their CUSTOMER feel the FORCE within the GAME. They make sure the game flow smoothly with excitement . SO for me I'm patiently waiting this game. I'll buy this game first day of release.

Starcraft and Blizzard...What else can we say? Starcraft has been one of the best selling games by Blizzard and it is STILL the best RTS game out there. Starcraft II is one of the most eagerly anticipated of the pack by millions of fans. Just check out the gameplays from "HD Starcraft" on youtube or elsewhere and see how big this game is! This is definitely the must-have game for all gamers and I just can't wait to get this soon.

Horray!!! With all the development, testing, more testing, and everything, hopefully SC2 will be ready to come out at this next release date! From what I hear in the gaming underground, the price will be less than the $60 advertized, the trilogy will be coming out in 3-6 month intervals, and each expansion will only be $30. Blizzard is getting a major overhaul, but supposedly will still be free for SC2. Online gaming is available for all three races with the first game, and from the Battle Reports that i've seen, it looks AMAZING!!!!! I hope summer comes soon!

If you are a Blizzard fan, then you understand the excitement when it comes to a sequel. When Warcraft III arrived, it was a complete innovation. Warcraft III could barely even be compared to its original, that's how much Blizzard improved upon the game: not only the mechanics and graphics but the overall ingenuity. Starcraft II is not this. The game feels like a complete rehash of the original. The races are all the same, a majority of the units are the same. Everything else that is "new" is actually old, it's used material from Warcraft III, the heroes, the abilities and the unit stats. Even the map editor is simply an improved Warcraft III map editor. Basically, it's Warcraft III re-skinned in Starcraft. Except, I still say Warcraft III is better! The complete awe and sense of how amazing the game is that I had with Warcraft III is completely absent for Starcraft II. The graphics may be better, but the game is not worth the price tag; especially when there are already two proposed expansion packs which will cost a full game each. Blizzard gives you 1/3 of the single player game and a baby proofed version of online play for $60. As someone who is, or was, a Blizzard fan, I am extremely disappointed in this purchase.

If you played Starcraft 1 and liked it then this will be a breeze to start playing. The new units make it a lot better however still needs to be some balancing. CONS: must have internet to start playing that should definantly be placed on the description of the game and highlighted. Their is about 100 Mb of updates and patches that must update before playing and then you are required to create an account with Battle.net just so you can play campaign and if you want your acheivments to show up and update you must log into battle.net every time you play even if you intend to play offline. This all really bits if your deployed over seas and internet is hard to come by like me.

I am a big fan of Starcraft and Starcraft 2. I was not disappointed with this game. Graphics were great and so was the gameplay. My only complaint is that the box and manuals were all damage when they shipped it to me.

I played this as a trial at Blizzcon2008 and it was amazing. I played as the zerg and put it on easy mode to just enjoy the game. I was quickly overwhelmed by the AI and defeated, as it amassed an army easily 3 times larger than my own. I was shocked that I was defeated so quickly as I am a veteran at this game, so I am very much looking forward to playing this when it comes out. They are releasing the terran campaign first, then the Protoss, then the Zerg (to my understanding) and they showed us the opening video of the terran campaign at the convention. It almost looked like a first player game but wasn't. Anyways I am very much anticipating this game, with the amazing detail that I did get to see and the challenge that awaits I will be very much looking forward to playing it for a long time, lets just hope they dont start charging for battlenet (Blizzard does suck money out of you, and once this comes and Diablo 3 I forsee them losing money on WoW, they are going to try to make it up somehow >. >)

Wow, are you excited just hearing about the sequal to one of the best games ever. The overall detail is extrodinary (for RTS games), control over large masses of charcters is even easier (even upto 75 zerglings), story line that evolves and flows more in line with the events happening, and for the real SC fans, a new race??? I think we will see it and play with the new race throughout the story. All in all, it's d@mn near perfect.

This is another action pack game brought to you from blizzard entertainment. The programmers have always built a great story in the campaigns. They intend for these games to have deathmatches between networks, and it seems the AI is as always out to get everyone. Another see who can tromp over and take out everything first. Wonder if Blizzard will make a 3rd then sell a Chest? Expansion probably alread in the works.
