I got this movie as a present. the person i gave it to said it was good!

Surprisingly delightful movie. The plot is playfully dark and entertaining.

Although this is not to my taste, it was very reasonably priced through Best Buy, and I recommend them for your purchases.

Definitely one of my top picks, for fantasy genre!!

I was intrigued by the casting of Danes, De Niro & Pfeiffer, who was cast as an evil witch, acting along with other good thespians in more of a supporting role. I was impressed with the hero who I'd never seen before, & how he was able to hold his own when paired with someone like De Niro who was something of a scene-stealer ! Pfeiffer's role was dark, & well-played by her as she sought to end the hero's quest. I couldn't help but be charmed by Dane's ethereal quality & wit as she played the heroine. Miller was put on a pedestal by the hero, who set off on a quest to find a "star" for her, but ended up finding much more in the journey.

i saw this movie on opening weekend with my 8 year old daughter. the theater we went to was packed for the showing of stardust. i noticed that my daughters eyes were glued to the screen and that she was laughing at every funny thing that happened to tristan and Yvaine. we both just loved Robert De Niro's rendition of the pirate captain and we both thought that Michelle Pfeiffer as the old witch Lamia was really great acting. if you do not get this movie you will be missing out on one of the best movies of 2007.

4 of 5 stars for the fantasy adventure movie Stardust. A really nice fantasy movie was fun to watch. A young man lives in a town that borders a magic place; a stone wall is the dividing line. As the young man escapes his town he finds many wonders in the magic land. The movie addresses a couple of generations of time and events. In the future generation, an old king about to die needs to name one of his seven sons as new king. They are sent on a quest. Oh, and the sons have a habit of killing each other. And then there is this girl or is she a star? Not really sure. Yes, a little confusing, but, a funny and nice story. Very well made with a good look and feel. Special effects are well integrated. All in all, a fun, cute, interesting movie with a couple of plot surprises. Well worth the time to watch. Recommended for teens and up. BTW, Michelle Pfeiffer is still beautiful and one of my favorites--she plays on of the witches (oh, did I mention there are witches?).

I first saw this movie last summer with a bunch of girlfriends and I LOVED it! It reminds me a lot of an old favorite of mine (The Princess Bride) but not enough to turn my roommate off of it (she's not so keen on Carey Elwes). The plot is suspenseful and sweet but the ending is a little bit predictable, though I can appreciate how the screenwriters arrived at it. The graphics, cinematography, and animation were very well done, in my opinion. Overall, it's a great movie that neither my best friends nor I can get enough of!

I thought this movie was very entertaining. It was a cute little fairy tale, but not your typical boy meets girl, obviously. Who would have ever guessed that stars were are ctually people? Very neat idea, Mr. Neil Most of the actors were up and coming but that doesn't matter. I especially loved Robert De Niro. His character was hillairous! It is truly an adorable film that is great for everyone. You'll be glad you bought it.

To put it simply, this movie surprised me as to how good it was. I was surfing TV and saw this on HBO. I started watching it and was blown away by the plot! Its a beautiful adult fairy tale, with great actors such as Robert Dinero and Claire Danes. This has moments that will make you laugh and almost bring you to the brink of tears, though I never cry at movies! I never got into Harry Potter movies, but I believe this is the best fictional movie I have ever seen. Highly recommended!

A friend told me that this movie was as good as The Princess Bride, and I didn't want to believe it. But he was right! This movie has the same flavor, the same fairytale magic, and the same sharp wit. The humor is subtle, dry, and sidesplitting. And imagine my surprise when I discovered that the cinematography, acting, and special effects were supported by a strong, compelling storyline! Anyone who loved The Princess Bride will love this movie.

I saw this movie opening weekend, and it was a packed theater! This movie is endearing and adventurous with moral perils and a terrific cast. Michelle Pfeiffer is perfect in this role and I enjoyed Robert De Niro's spin on the pirate character. Though it has no "catch phares" as in the Princess Bride, not adding this movie to your collection would be inconceivable!

You could not ask for a better cast. They really make this movie what it is. The movie is, sure a fictional movie, but you feel so much into it that it is real. You find yourself waiting to see what is coming around the corner. You can not take your eyes off the screen. The movie will draw you in and take you for a ride that you will not soon forget.

This is a great movie! I didn't look away from the screen once during the whole thing. The actors are great, the plot is interesting, and it's definitely appropriate for adults as well as kids. There is something for everyone in this movie because there is action, humor, romance, and a little bit of suspense. I would recommend this to any age group.

I had never seen this movie before infact i had purchased this movie on a wim of an old memory of seeing the comercial some time ago. Boy was it worth the purchase. I fouond that everything about the movie itself exceeded all my expectations and i have found my self watching this fairytale love story agai and again

This is a great fantasy/fairy tale movie the whole family will enjoy. Its provides a unique twist to the basic fairy tale, and will keep you entertained throughout the movie. Michelle Pfeiffer does a great job acting and the visual effects are good. However, this movie may be a little to scary for very young children.

I loved the movie it is definitely a got to have! I recommend that everyone see this movie; obviously not everybody will feel as strongly about the movie as I do, but it's a cute movie for any woman.

This movie conjures up a fascinating world to immerse you in, with lots of fun visuals, quirky humor and a very solid sense of storytelling. Claire Danes has rarely been this appealing and Michelle Pfieffer gives a great supporting performance.

Loved this movie so much I had to buy it when it came out. Its funny, Romantic and just enough fairy tale for everyone. I would recommend this to a friend.

This was a great story although it didn't seem to get much fanfare. It puts me in the mind of The Princess Bride...also an excellent movie. Loved it!
