The movie is a cult classic. The movie definitely looks more coeaeer than ever but that doesn't really help it much. Now it shows how much the film was a bit behind in CGI. I still am very fond of the movie though.

Love the 4k and atmos. Good movie. Would recommend. But nothing to write home about.

I just purchased a 4k system and was looking for a movie that I either did not own or I had not already upgraded to Bluray. I had fond memories of Starship Troopers and I had not upgraded it from the DVD format. As with a lot of "fond" memories, you find those memories are not as fond when you see something again and notice how mediocre it really is. Troopers is one of those films that you wonder the next go around why you liked it so much the first time.

If you are a fan of Robert A. Heinlein's Starship Troopers, you may not like this movie. The producer's licensed the name to give the movie greater commercial appeal, but it bears only a superficial resemblance to the book. That said, it is kind of a fun movie if you like the concept of space marines working tirelessly to wipe out some really vicious insects on another planet. It's a bit over the top, and very gory, but great visual effects.

Look, the 4K remaster apparently looks gorgeous, but I returned my copy. The included blu-ray is a ten year old master and was not upgraded. It's surprising that Sony has upgraded the Blus of so many titles of that era (The Professional, Bram Stoker's Dracula, Crouching Tiger, Fifth Element) but left this one out to dry. This isn't futureproofing, Sony.

I remember seeing this one when it came out in theaters and it was a pure fun action movie. Semi-ridiculous plot? Check. Characters up against insurmountable odds? Check. Lots of guns blazing and bugs splattering? Oh yeah! Added the steelbook to my movie collection.

Most have this title on BLU-Ray or DVD and there is no extras here then what you've already seen. 4k Quality is the same as Blu-Ray, again nothing extra here either. wait for it to be on Sale.

I purchased this film, which is 1 of my favorites of all time. The movie cost me 23 dollars, that’s 8 dollars more than the 4K steelbook so I want to swap them now.

Great picture quality and audio is fantastic. To me atmos and dtsx are game changers for movies. Wish these formats were standard for all movies .

As pathetic of a movie as it is, I'm ashamed to say I can never turn away from it when it's on. Maybe because it reminds me of being in college.

This 4K release really does not bring much more than the Blu-ray for picture quality. Skip the 4K and just watch the blu-ray

The4k transfer does a good job with most scenes. There was graininess in others but that was the fault of the cameras used.

I enjoyed this movie when it was released 20 years ago but unfortunately even with a 4k update it doesn't really hold up.

Looks decent on 4K, I still enjoy the film though.

good movie a bit gory but overall a good movie to get you through when you don't have anything else to watch.

Great movie! BUT as reviewed earlier- The Digital cloud copy is truly HD Quality 1080p/720p :) Unfortunately the Blu-Ray disc copy looks like SD QUALITY 480p :( not HD. Looks Great on VUDU! Compare for yourself.
