God bless Paul Verhoeven. This man know she how to bring together the perfect levels of action, satire, and effects to create some of the most iconic films of the ‘80s and ‘90s! Starship Troopers operates in the vein of RoboCop and Total Recall before it by creating fun and likable characters and tossing them into a creatively rich world and entertaining action sequences. While the effects could be argued to be lackluster, I feel that they were purposefully rendered this way to tie into the over the top nature of the film and just makes it an incredibly fun thrill ride. Seeing this film in gorgeous 4K is really the ultimate way to experience this film! This set comes packed with hours of special features to celebrate the 20th anniversary and also includes a free digital copy.

This is how it should be in America! Watch the political message. Only those who served in the military can vote in this movie. we need to do that in America, because you earned your right to vote, its not given. You cant be given honor, you have to earn it. This movie is great, has amazing FUNNY lines, fast action, really sets a nice pace. The sound is great, can't say enough good things about the sound, it has what you expect for the money you spend on a disk of this magnitude, the money they spent was well placed. You get high quality content. The CGI is so realistic you forget its CGI and just fall into the story and lose yourself in the emotion and staging of the drama and action.

This is the third time I've bought this movie(DVD, Blu-ray, now 4k). Great way to show off a home theater system with awesome picture and sound. Some people think this is just a big dumb action movie(and on the surface it is), but it's really a terrific piece of satire. Now I just wish someone would make a serious adaptation of Heinlein's novel.

This movie is so much fun. The subtle sub-text of earth converting to a fascist society, where all the main characters are supposed to be from Buenos Ares is hilarious.

I'm not a fan of the steel case but I love this movie and couldn't find the regular 4K version. I haven't had a chance to watch this yet but I just got my new JVC RS2000 4K projector hooked up today so the time will be soon! Everyone knows this movie by now and the reviews of this 4K version have been fantastic.

Starship Troopers does a great job satirizing fascism, militarism, and authoritarianism. The structure of the narrative is so creative, cutting the main plot with TV news breaks on the goings on in the bug vs human war and what's happening on Earth.

Ugly bugs are bad, don't ask why. Fascistic humans are good, so sign up to become a citizen today! Do you want to live forever?

Gotta love this movie. Over the top in all the best ways. A classic.

Although the movie is 22 years old, it still holds up well. Overall I'm pleased with the 4k. My only gripe is that some of the background tends to appear a bit grainy at times. But all in all it looks much better then the Blu-ray.

The detail in the 4K version is awesome. Ot was like watching the movie for the first time.

This blows the bluray (which looked stellar) away! I'm not going to review the film here but the 4K is the best I've seen and heard in the 20+ UHD discs that I've purchased. It's jaw dropping beautiful. Buy it!

For a movie that is 20+ years old and pre superhero trilogies, I would say this movie holds up pretty well in today's climate. Action, battle scenes, romance.. Good movie

I have always loved a good action filled sci-fi movie. Some of my favorite films have always been Alien, The Terminator, Predator, and The Thing (1984) just to name a few. But there was one movie that flew under my radar until I was in college (2010) and would become one of my all time favorites for the action sci-fi genre Starship Troopers. This movie has it all great battle scenes, a set of characters that we get to see grow, a cheesy love plot, and of course Michael Ironside being Michael Ironside. This movie was hated when it first came out but it has grown into a great cult film, and of course it can be analyzed for its political elements too. The 4k transfer for this film was a little weaker then I was expecting, I actually forgot that the movie was mastered in HDR most of the time, and when compared to other transfers of classic movies to 4k hdr this one does not offer as much as i was expecting. The Atmos soundtrack on the other hand is fantastic, especially when the arachnids are flying overhead and there is constant action on screen. So if ou are picking this up for the picture quality, i would get the regular blu ray but if are Atmos enabled then by all means prepare for a great time!

Rico! Nuke Em! A Movie That Crept Through Hearts. This Movie Would Seem More Of A Cheesy Sci-Fi, However, This Is Movie Offers So Much More. Definitely A Must Grab.

Probably one of the most ridiculous and cheesy movies ever made. The sad truth is, it’s fun to watch and always makes me laugh.
