Battery does not last long at all. I find myself annyed more than anything and I really want to replace it. It does not move as swift either. I have to revert back to my old mouse in the mean time only because the battery does not last long at all. I have to use the cable wired to use this mouse.

First time trying a steel series mouse going away from Razer due to their lagging issue. I love the mouse and it has decent RGB. The software on the other hand is awful. I had such trouble getting things my way and the settings wouldn't save. Also one downside I didnt see is. The 2.4 connection is usb c that you have to carry around as it not storable on the mouse itself. I have returned the mouse and maybe they can make improvements in the future.

Lightweight, fast, and stylish are the first words to mind with the Aerox mouse. Having used the orgina black one and now upgrading to the frost ghost look was the best decision to match my white keyboard. Good battery life too and the RGB is front and center with the transparent shell. Although i purchased the mouse on sale, i would recommend even at msrp!

Amazing wireless mouse, battery lasts a super long time, super light weight. Software is not too bad either. Easy to set up auto sleep to save battery, RGB works great. Some people have complained about the pucks on the bottom but I have had no issues, mouse glides great and would buy this mouse again! I have always been a corded guy and this is my first wireless mouse and I will never go back.

    Perfect for MacOS/Macbook specifically

I'm using a MacBook Pro, which I found to present several unique challenges in purchasing a gaming mouse. Granted, I'm not using my MacBook primarily for gaming, but it's a secondary feature. There are several unique challenges to finding a gaming mouse on MacOS, and specifically for the Macbook: 1. Not all software is MacOS compatible 2. There is no USB-A port on a MacBook Pro I will explain why these problems presented difficulty for gaming mice, and detail some of the issues with other manufacturer's options. With regard to the first problem, the most prominent gaming mouse manufacturers who offer MacOS compatible software are Logitech, Corsair, and Steel Series. I first tried a Logitech mouse and found that the software was problematic however. Specifically, it was challenging to set a new default DPI on the mouse to automatically load from on-board memory. I found that the mouse started with 800 DPI every time I would start my computer, and would only adopt my preferred DPI setting once I opened the software. Logitech software requires that you allow them to track all your keystrokes, which is invasive to your privacy. Additionally, Logitech mice mostly utilize Micro USB charging rather than USB-C charging, meaning I would have to carry a cable just for this mouse while everything else is USB-C. And the final nail in the coffin - there is no Bluetooth option and you must use a USB-A dongle to connect the mouse. With the MacBook Pro, there are only USB-C ports. This means that you'll have to use an adapter, which adds a lot of bulk to what would otherwise be a very unobtrusive peripheral which would sit relatively flush to the side of your computer. Logitech was out. Corsair has decent software, but their mice have relatively low battery life and don't particularly work well for my hand. That's a matter of personal preference. They do have Bluetooth options and USB-C charging, which is nice. Overall, I can't speak against them but it wasn't for me. Now I come to Steel Series. I found that this was the perfect option for my specific predicament. This mouse specifically has USB-C charging, and uses a USB-C dongle for your faster wireless connection. Unlike Logitech, it has the ability to also connect via Bluetooth. I know that gamers will be generally against using Bluetooth, because it is slower and thus less advantageous for competitive gaming, however it provides significantly higher battery life potential than connecting with the dongle. I think having both options is perfect. For productivity and other non-gaming tasks, I prefer to connect via Bluetooth. As for the software, I do find that Steel Series new GG software is significantly more bloated than their previous version, however the mouse adopted my preferred DPI setting and I haven't opened up the software since my initial setup. I tend to run this with no RGB lighting and on a fixed DPI setting. If I did want to change the DPI, I can simply use the center button to scroll through my options without using the software at all. The only thing I'll ever need the software for is changing RGB settings really. As to the specifics of the hardware here, I quite like it. I specifically purchased the Snow color way due to the fact that it was on sale while the black version was MSRP. I would have liked the black version, but the white does look quite nice. The battery life has been excellent in Bluetooth mode with no RGB. I rarely ever need to charge it. It's definitely a smaller mouse, but it still feels ergonomic. The Aerox 5 feels significantly larger in my hand than this Aerox 3, and though it is more ergonomic I do feel that this is a better fit for me because I'm pairing it with a laptop. That means I'll be on the go, and a smaller mouse is easier to take with me. At the same time, it is mostly being used in a desktop setup and it fits perfectly into that role. The honeycomb cutouts do not agitate my hand as I thought they would. Clicks are smooth and consistent, side buttons aren't mushy like the Logitech Superlight, and my hand doesn't fatigue from using it for longer periods in palm grip. I think the scroll wheel could be a little better mechanically - it feels a little more like a low end mouse rather than a nice gaming mouse. It works consistently and doesn't present any issues, but it doesn't feel as premium as it could. Otherwise, it's excellent. Now, I'm aware the bulk of this review won't apply to very many people. I'm personally new to MacOS, and have been a gamer on Windows machines for my whole life (in addition to consoles). I can't stand most basic productivity mice because I'm so accustomed to using gaming mice. They offer great ergonomics and light weight options. I do like to play games on my MacBook, though they tend to be more casual. One thing I didn't realize when switching to MacOS was that compatibility, especially with any kind of "gaming" peripherals, is an incredible challenge. My options were limited by the ports on my device along with the software compatibility. If I had a Windows machine as my primary device, my outlook would be different. I'd still rate this mouse highly and I would say that if it appeals to you, don't hesitate. However, being on MacOS and dealing with the specific issue I've described here, this mouse really shines. Razer, Alienware, Hyperfire, Glorious, Roccat... to my knowledge none of them offer MacOS compatible software (except the OLDER version of Razer, which is incompatible with their newer mice typically). So if you're looking for a gaming mouse for a MacBook (rare... I know) then look no further. This is one of your few options. Jump up to the Aerox 5 if you want a desktop only mouse that's bigger and slightly more ergonomic, or grab this if you'll take it with you or prefer a lighter and smaller option.

Hello there! I came across this mouse in store while browsing through various other wireless mouses. I ultimately decided on this one because, well, quite honestly it was on sale and basically half off so figured I’d take a chance on it. It hasn’t let me down thus far and I enjoy the fact that you can adjust mouse speed within the downloadable app, along with being able to adjust the lighting effects (turning them off altogether helps preserve battery life!) I haven’t had any connectivity issues and it’s quite responsive. It took a little tweaking to find the speed that was just right but it seems like I have. The only downside I can think of is that the mouse at times can feel a bit small, especially after prolonged use. If you use your mouse for long stretches, whether for work or for gaming like myself, then I’d definitely recommend you find a demo display version so you can feel it out in your hand. There was honestly another mouse I would’ve preferred getting but I couldn’t seem to find a wireless version of it and I just didn’t want to deal with wires anymore tbh. Overall, I’m mostly satisfied and just find I have to take more hand stretch breaks due to the size (which I’m willing to do because of the price I got it at lol). If you don’t care about wireless then I’d definitely recommend checking out the Rival 5 (I believe that’s the one I actually wanted and that just felt right in my hand).

Good item but my mouse will randomly blink white like 15 times and I can’t move the mouse or clock when it does that so I kinda don’t know how to feel about that but other wise good mouse.

Good speed works great for intense gaming love that it has a rechargeable battery much more convenient than having to buy batteries charges quick and charge lasts even with the rgb lights also love the fact there is multiple ways to connect I use the Bluetooth feature but you can also plug it in or use the dongle
