I've tried extending the time by having the mouse sleep after 5 minutes of inactivity, but this doesn't have an effect on the battery life. It also introduces another problem where you have to wait at least 30 seconds before the mouse wakes up.

However, the mouse disconnects if your computer hibernates or goes to sleep, or reboots. Contacted their support, they tell me there's no way around this. So effectively you have to have two mice. This mouse, and another mouse to re-pair this one each time your computer reboots.

This mouse did not even last 7 months before it broke. My cursor randomly stops moving and starts teleporting making it unusable. The battery life is also not that good. Applying small amounts of force to the mouse makes it creak and it sounds like it's going to break.

The battery would go from 97 to 30 to 50 back and forth depending on the time. It would disconnect and you would have to reconnect. If you used the dongle then it would stay connected better but it was hard to use with the dongle taking up a whole port.
