I thought this was good but it came super late and the box and damaged. I was gonna buy off amazon but it was out of stock and the next day it was in stock and I said whatever until this happened. I will never buy from here again.

I have been very happy with this keyboard so far. The lighting is high quality, and the oled screen makes it easy to switch profiles and settings. The keys have a solid and clicky feel to them, and it has been perfect for typing as well as gaming. It also comes with a wrist-wrest, so everything you need is ready to go out of the box.

This keyboard is exactly what I was looking for to complete my Steelseries keyboard, mouse and mouse pad set. It is slightly more compact than standard keyboards, so it takes slightly less space on a desk or on an XL mouse pad. There is no extra keyboard key to program macros and it's perfect too. However, it is possible to reprogram any key on the keyboard to your needs. The wrist rest is magnetic so very easy to handle and hangs securely on the keyboard. The material of the wrist rest is soft and easy to clean. The RGB colors of the keyboard are magnificent, the choice of light and color effects are endless when used in conjunction with Steelseries software. The "Red Switch - Linear and Quiet" keys are exactly what I wanted for gaming and other uses too. When we weigh on a key, we feel the linear effect without any snagging, all done gently. It is not completely silent, but it is perfect like that, because I feel the mechanical effect of looking for a keyboard of this type. I totally recommend it if you have a good budget for a good keyboard.

The Seelseries Apex 5 is an extremely quality keyboard for the price. The feel of the keys is phenomenal as well as the customizable style LEDs. I have primarily used this keyboard for gaming, but also a small amount of typing as well and it performed admirably in both functions. A lot of other gaming keyboards cost significantly more and this has a very comparable feel compared to others I have tried. If you're looking for a stylish, high quality PC gaming keyboard without crossing the $100 mark, this is your choice. NOTE: I also tested hooking this up to my Xbox One X as it is listed as compatible on the box. It works fine there but being wired and with most console setups being in a more living room setup and not a desk area I would not recommend for this. It is definitely functional if you can mange the wire though.

APEX 5 This keyboard really added a new dimension to my gaming! It’s well built ,has a great feel and the options when coupled with the SteelSeries software are amazing! I spent a couple of hours exploring all the color possibilities and it goes from the cool rainbow to all one color to what happens after you hit a key… to choosing individual colors for letters. Then there are the macros features. I also really am having fun finding gifs and uploading on the the lcd in the corner of the keyboard. Just a lot of fun. I also love the volume roller on the top of the keyboard by the lcd screen. It’s so easy and functional and quick to use. The magnetic hand rest is also a nice touch. Great keyboard!! Highly recommend!

All in all this is good gaming keyboard. It has some awesome and customizable lights that you expect from a higher end keyboard and an amazing magnetic wrist pad that snaps easily into place. However, the keys are set a little higher than standard which makes the clicking louder and more pronounced than other mechanical keyboards out there. I love the feedback noise from the keys when playing but I know some don't.

The manual is pretty minimal and it takes a bit of playing around to learn all the features, but there are some really nice things here. The roller wheel to control volume is a real plus and the little oled is sort of cool, but I'd rather have had an actual app to control things. The keys are nice and crisp though the clickety-clack may be a little too loud for some. Initially, I had a bit of trouble with key rollover if I typed too fast, but that seems to have gone away when the driver (windows 10) was fully downloaded. I didn't like that only the uppercase portion of the multifunction keys was illuminated and that the illumination options seem pretty limited, but the colors are nice and bright and the illumination control range is wide. The wrist wrest is a huge plus and really makes long keyboard sessions much more comfortable. Overall, I'd probably rate it an 8.5-9.0 out of 10 with points off for special characters illumination (e.g. quick -- what's the special character when I type shift-5 in the dark?) and the limited illumination choices.

The keys are very smooth and I have loved using it, the OLED on the right is very fun and is also useful when gaming if you want to know who is speaking. The RGB is nice and does not look cheap. I would reccomend for sure.

Better Than Competition @ Half the Price

At less than 1/2 the price of the top end wired "clicky" competitors Razer's Huntsman Elite and LogiTech's top-end wired G series, SteelSeries Apex 5 is a better keyboard. Satisfies the clicky feel/feedback yet with a decent wrist plate, this is more comfortable, more responsive. I wish I bought this one first.

The keyboard has an amazing amount of customization for both lights and key functions. You can change the brightness, color schemes, and a wave effect that occurs during normal key use. As per the key functions, the variety of customization feels nearly endless. For example, you can set the Esc key to function as the #3 key, same as you can set the #7 key to function as Enter. I personally haven’t found a use for the key settings but still find it interesting and thought about different uses they could possible have. The palm rest attaches magnetically and I personally chose to not use it based on my comfort level. The keyboard accommodates both light and heavy strokes from its users. It’s not the most quiet keyboard, but I must admit I kinda enjoy the clickity, clackity sounds when I don’t need to focus nor when I’m in a voice chat. The keyboard features a small screen located on the upper right corner which by default displays the company logo. It can be customized and utilized in various ways. While the screen is both small and black and white in color, you can set various custom or pre-downloaded images or gifs to be displayed. On top of these options, the downloaded software allows for communication between supported software. This allows for said software to control the keyboard lights and screen in different manners. While my screen is engaged on a different activity, I can nonetheless still be aware of who is currently speaking within a chat, using the keyboard’s display. The keyboard is slightly more responsive than most keyboards. The most notable annoyance I’ve had is the keys being at a slight angle which while annoying at first, becomes less bothersome with use. Possibly the keys are angled to help prevent wrist fatigue?

I love this keyboard but in the first to second week of having the keyboard my s key started squeaking really obnoxiously, I have no idea how to fix it or whats wrong and I kinda regret not getting that 2 year warranty. If this key didnt start sqeaking I would give this keyboard a 5 star!!
