Customers express satisfaction with the Apex Pro V2 keyboard's quality, comfortable wrist rest, and customizable features. Many appreciate the key feel and RGB lighting, as well as the software integration and OLED display. The actuation profiles and ease of use with macros are also well-received. The main drawbacks mentioned are the high price and some concerns about LED reliability.

The best keyboard by FAR!
|Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It has been said that when it comes to the tools you make your living with, get the best. I make my living with this keyboard in my job in IT. Because I can type so much faster, my productivity greatly increased when I invested in the SteelSeries Apex Pro. No other keyboard, gaming or otherwise, feels quite like the Apex Pro. I love it an it's the only one I will use!

Great keyboard
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We tested several gaming keyboards and this one seemed perfect for what we were looking for. My son uses it for gaming and I use the computer for photo editing and typing. It is a good keyboard for multiple uses. We LOVE all the colors you can customize on the keyboard as well. We made a GREAT choice!

The smoothest and most solid keyboard I've owned
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have the Corsair K95 Platinum, K63 and K57. None of those keyboards feels as solid and types as smoothly as the Apex Pro. Although this keyboard is pricier than all of those mentioned, its solid quality, smooth keystrokes and amazingly customizable RGB options more than justify its price.

Love the way the switches feel
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love the way the switches feel and adjustability is great for anyone who is in to any sorta gaming the RGB illuminates really well out the side of the keys when the keyboard gets dirty it really shows but that’s a simple problem and software is simple and easy to set up and use 10/10 my favorite keyboard so far!!

Steel Series for the win.
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ive had many keyboards in my years of gaming and PC building. By far, for name brand, not custom built, this is my favorite. Its sturdy, well-built, visually appealing, and wonderful to type on. It has more settings than you may ever care or need to use - but there if you do need or want them. Ive had Arctis 7 headphones for a number of years now and they are still going. So after my Logi Pro keyboard LED's started failing, I got this unit. Will stick to Steel Series products from here out.

Fantastic keyboard, fantastic features, expensive
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As far as keyboards go, this is a good one. While super expensive, I'd say it's worth it for everything it gives you. The key switches are fantastic and seeing as they are adjustable, that is crazy cool. The oled display helps with information and on the fly adjustment. Colors are great and the wrist rest is comfortable. Definitely worth getting, but it wouldn't hurt if it was a little cheaper.

One of the best keyboards I have ever owned!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This keyboard has been a perfect addition to my desk! Quiet strokes, adjustable actuation points, and the RGB is on point! I will admit, I did change the keycaps to ones with a lot more transparency, but the ones with it are perfectly functional. I am just picky about aesthetics.

Changing key activation is pretty dang cool
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have gone through a few mechanical keyboards in the past two or three years. As a software developer, I type a whole lot, and I can be a bit rough on keyboards. My touch is heavy and I expect my keyboard to be able to keep up as I type 80 - 100 wpm. Even decent switches can die on me in a year or so. This is a bummer for my pocketbook, but I am able to test a lot of different kinds of key switches, which is a little bit of a consolation. I bought this Apex Pro keyboard about two weeks ago. The main draw of the Apex Pro is being able to define how I want the switches to activate. I typically have to relearn to type every time I get a new keyboard because the activation changes among switches and key caps. I figured if I could tell the keyboard how I want it to react instead of the other way around, that would be a very good thing. In short, I thoroughly love these magnetic key switches. I can't completely discuss the physics of how the switches operate other than to say that I can adjust how each and every key responds (that isn't entirely accurate, as the magnetic switches are only on the main keyboard and not some of the ancillary keys, but those keys I use the most are configurable). I set up my keys to work slightly less than a Cherry Red, but without the stunning amount of noise those switches can make. This keyboard feels great. It took maybe a day to get used to things, as per usual, and now that my fingers have figured out the key activation, I'm typing really quickly. The keyboard keeps up very well and has yet to do anything that makes me look at the output and say "Er...wha...?" I also quite enjoy the RGB configuration. There is a neat after-effect on the keys that fades from a bright color back to normal to show which key I hit last. I thought it would be a gimmick, but it is cool to watch, if nothing else. Overall, I have been very happy with this keyboard. It's pricey, for sure, and I hope that it lasts for longer than a year at this price. That said, I customized the whole thing to work with me instead of against me, and that has felt well worth the cost at this point. If you can afford the keyboard, you owe it to yourself at least to check out the customization of the key activation. It seemed goofy at first, but I'm hooked now.

Wonderful to type on!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the best keyboard I've had since my IBM model M died more than a decade ago. It's nothing like that one of course, but its own unique feel that is just as good if not even better. I actually decided to click on the 'please review this!' link from Best Buy just so I had an excuse to type on it to give an idea. It feels amazing at default and I'm slowly working out the different sensitivities and functions and re-learning not to *smash* the keys to type. Only complaints: 1. for the keyboard itself, the 'shifted' characters read backwards from standard (so like the * is under the 8 instead of over). I'm mostly a touch typist so it's not a huge deal, but when I do glance down is just to verify things like if I'm typing + or = ... and get super confused. I've noticed this seems to be a 'thing' for gaming keyboards, maybe? 2. The software is... not great. Like at all. Otherwise this is money well spent and I imagine I'll lug this thing around for the next 25 years like I did my model M!

SteelSeries Apex Pro
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My favorite keyboard. The keys are tactile but still quiet. The sound doesn’t pick up on my headset. The keys have a nice rubbery feel to them and the top of the keyboard is metal which feels like it’s high quality. So far I have had no issues and really like the keyboard.

First keyboard I've purchased
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love the feel of the keys. I've never purchased a gaming keyboard before, but I'm glad I chose this one. The rgb is fantastic, and the actuation point adjuster is awesome. I don't use the wrist pad, but that's cause I have no space on my small desk. I Recommend this keyboard!
